Him going toe to toe with Odin the way he did is something Superman or Thor couldn't do. Thor has messed with his daddy once and was running away for most of it like a little girl.
How about the incident where the very power Quasar construct.. surrounded.. Thor and Hulk and Drax just to name some… they were ALL trying to break it and get out of there at the same time… They could no NOTHING. Thanos ONE SHOT it with ease.
How about when he helped break the In-Betweener out of his captivity? He basically had to match his blast to break him free.. he did just that. Can you see Thor or superman doing that…matching an abstract blast power.. nah.
How about his fight with Tyrant… Brb, Surfer, Glads (top of the top tier) couldn't do a THING to Tryant. He laughed at them. He fought Thanos and IMMEDIATELY noticed how much more powerful Thanos was then these guys.
Do I need to go on? How about when Thanos blasted Galactus… He sent him FLYING through his ship and for miles bouncing across the planet. True it didn't really hurt him.. but that is how much blast power and concussive force a Thanos blast has.. Thor fires his most powerful blast to AN ALMOST DYING Galactus and it barely even moves him.
How about a PISSED Surfer (who certainly has the firepower & durability to match Superman or Thor).. he fires at Thanos.. he just laughs it off and doesn't even budge.. Yet almost kills him with a few blows…Those blows land on Thor or Superman.. what will happen.. they will go down.
He already two shot Thor to his knees once before.. That was the weakest version of Thanos and he punked Thor and Thing like nothing.
How about his fight with B&T Thor… Nobody could even effect Thor or budge him.. not surfer, brb, strange or anybody… Thanos blast him to the ground… punched him Thor the ground.. Took multiple shots from an amped Thor and smiled.. yet you think regular thor is someone going to do better?
Point is… They can't take what he can dish out.. but he certainly can.
To be fair Odin jobbed or was holding back. No way Thanos holds his own against Odin outside his house.

This post was pointless... I agreed with all of this yesterday when darth posted it on the superman vs thanos thread and I could see reasons on why people would think thanos would stomp them....
So all in all, I agree with everything you just said. 😄
I'm trying to get omega to make a thanos vs frieza thread... now that would be a stomp in frieza favor.

This one?He is overplaying thanos a bit but TBH probably thanos's best asset is his ridiculously high durability for his tier.
I meant literally the second statement. The bullshit about firepower.
And IRCC, Thanos was specifically prepped for Omega. I'm pretty sure he was also prepped for Galactus. It would explain why the shield durability was so great in those scenes. Thor doesn't even need to break the shields to get to Thanos.

03. When did this happen? During the Infinity Gauntlet saga, when the Silver Surfer and Thanos were trying to rip each other apart, and four other heroes forcefully restrained the two of them.
04. Can Thor and Superman restrain Thanos, and beat him into the ground? I wouldn't have a hard time believing this.
05. Is Superman Strong enough to restrain Thanos by placing him in a Full Nelson? i don't see why not, he has some pretty decent feats of strength.
06. If Superman has the strength to restrain Thanos, how long would he be able to... would it be long enough for Thor to crack him in the head several times? I believe Superman is strong enough. How about you guys?
07. Is Thanos' hide tougher than a Celestial's outer shell? I don't believe so.
