ahh the necklace .. thanksso if Yoda learns the "ghost thing" after the Obi Wan v Anakin Duel then that means Anakin wont know the trick but he will have heard of it via Sidious and Plaguies but the Sith cant use the power and then that means that when Anakin is able to use it at the end of ROTJ then that confirmation he is a jedi again.....right?
ive always wondered about this. i wondered why the emperor never became a ghost himself after he died. he's like the most powerful being at the time and cant even become a ghost.
when exar kun becomes a ghost in the trilogy books after thrawn, does he use the same technique, or is his way different?
from tf.n but anyway...
Re: Yoda going to Dagobah to learn about the living force?
Yes...but the twist is wicked cool.
Re: Owen knowing Anakin is Vader:
It won't be mentioned on screen. Even now you should be realising that Obi-Wan told a lota lies to young Luke...
Some general points:
* There are some direct instructions from Yoda about the snippet.
* Yoda is to blame for the Jedi's downfall - he is arrogant. Much to learn, has he...
* Qui-Gon does not appear.
Yoda admits his errors. He was under-equipped to face Sidious, he didn't see the future...Dooku was right in what he said to Obi-Wan in the Geonosian prison.
I dont see why everyone has a problem with the 'pride' line. Yoda has always seemed prideful to me in his knowledge of the force. Not necessarily in a bad way. One can be proud of one's abilities without being arrogant which is how he was in ESB. All thru the PT though he has seemed on the verge of arrogance. ('yes, too sure of themselves they are,,, that line in particular shows it off to me, he says it as if applies to every jedi BUT him) And it seems now that GL had it planned that way the whole time. Quite clever actually... So of course his pride is hurt, he is known as THE most powerful force user in the galaxy and gets his ass handed to him by Sids. He then has 20 years to think about things before meeting up with Luke. So altho I would have never in a million years thought that this would ever be a Yoda line, it does actually fit the situation, IMO.....

So do you think Yoda was the most sure of himself out of all the Jedi, which made him responsible for the fall of the Jedi? And it almost seems obvious that Mace is better at lightsaber battles since Sid gets his a$$ handed to him by Mace.

The problem with the Yoda line is that no one wants to see Yoda really go out on the losing side and then admit defeat... Id rather them fight each other for a while evenly until The Emperor gets help from his Stormtroopers and overwhelms Yoda forcing him to make his escape. just my opinion
