Should Deltora Quest become a Movie

I haven't got it... I just surf the net alot (and I mean alot) I haven't even got a DS

thanks, everyone! you have no idea how much that means to me....
His name was Damien, and back in August he moved to New Jersey (I live in California, which is on the other side of the country) and his parents - we don't know which one yet - hit him over the head with something heavy, and he was in a coma for three days, and then they took him off life-support. He had told me over e-mail that his mom was acting unusually nice to him. This isn't the first time things like this have happened. When he was younger, his mom tried to poison him, and they beat his little sister. I found out when his older brother e-mailed me. His brother is going to try to get custody of their little sister. I'm not going to sit on my butt and constantly grieve, instead I'm going to remember all the good times I've had with him.

anyways, I actually like the game artwork better than the anime, but the anime moves!

I think it would be cool if they made a moviw, but only if they did it well. I hate it when you read a really good book and then they make a movie and ruin it.

I totally liked the game artwork better!

And yes, I also think it would be terrible if they ruined the movie...if they do make it, of course.

I salute the way you handle this tragedy Azure, I really do.

Indeed with the movies comment, I mean look at Eragon, great book, but movie was face stabbed, honestly an anime is the way to go for now, easier to stick with the plot in an anime, less time constraints.

We have officially reached Book 7 - Tora is on the horizon...
Now I have a problem.... unless its some character I've forgotten about (which I doubt - as I tend to have a photographic memory for fantasy books - seriously I've only read HP6 & 7 once and can quote parts of it... really annoying that I can't seem to do this for school books)
Who the hell is this guy in episode 38 (only seen the previews guys - so I don't know exactly what happens) - considering he appeared in the character profiles section of the site, he's a named character so - yeah anyway - its some blond guy and ummm.... well he's evil I know that much and there are some fire creatures...

tell you what I'll get back to you on this mystery character.... The important thing is... is that

*sniff* Our Lief will soon know what we all know.... and while doing a Aladdin Take Off, but swinging off the palace roof to save his princess, will discover the person he was pinning all his hopes on was.... well himself. *sniff* I promised myself I wouldn't cry.... we've almost finished the entire first series.

Well, I'll probally cry when we get to this point in the english version... but what can you do....

BTW has anyone else after reading series one through a second time, felt the urge to slap or have a go at any character when reading the second time... cause I've had several moments like that...

Yeah, i think that ometimes the movie ruins the book, too.

Anyway, guardian looks good, his pets look good.
The Torans look great, all depressed looking ghosts and such(which they are supposed to be at the mo..) they've dulled the colors while in the valley a bit... so the clothes and such aren't as bright as they were... outside the valley. Dain and that still find Jarred's note in Tora.... (This I got from the previews)

And I'm freaking out a bit as I got a new power supply for my computer - its so quiet... I have to strain my ears to hear it....
Compared to how loud my computer used to be... its kinda creepy.

hey everyone havent been on i ages been busy wid 2nd yr of college how is everyone ive been writng my own fantasy series at the moment im about half way throught

OK so I oficially decided that I wanted a Deltora Quest movie. I found Emily Rodda's email and I sent her an email. She found it "quite moving". She said we should stay in touch and that once the anime comes to America, they will turn it into a movie....with real life characters...not animated. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yes...I have to reply to her email of course, but I'm nervous...and excited...and utterly happy. Aren't you guys happy?

i know it really rox. the boy who is playing Lief is the guy who was Annakin Skywalker in starwars. i asked emily. then i asked her who Jasmine is gonna be and barda and everyone else. i'm waiting for her reply!

oh and then her kid sent me an email telling me that deltora is the best book series ever and that it'll probably come out in 2008.

I hate to be a dampener... but Emily Rodda stated at an ABC convention only a few months before the anime started she had several offers of a live action movie but declined them. However it has been revealed that she hasn't ruled out a live action version of the story (either film or television) being made at some point in the future- and she intends to wait until she gets an offer that "is genuinely admiring of the books as they are".

In regards to this movie... I highly doubt it has started nor would have Hayden Christensen have agreed to anything at this point of time as he is currently in the middle of shooting a movie due to come out in February 2008 called "Jumper". (Don't believe me its on the movie database.)
But it you are referring to Jake Lloyd (Anakin Skywalker - Phantom Menace) then I can see a possibility....

I personally don't entirely trust a person through email. Due to her interviews and personality... Emily doesn't seem like the person to use the Internet as often as the rest of us... and she's probably far to busy to even think of a DQ Live Action Movie since she is currently writing or just about to finish a new book called "The Key to Rondo".

I'm really really sorry about being the negative one, but I'm one of those people who has to get reliable evidence about this sort of thing. An email in my opinion isn't an reliable enough source for me.

I'm kinda siding with Elanna on this one, because it just doesn't seem like she would tell you all those things without knowing you or at least making you keep it a secret; it also could be an imposter....but I'm not totally ruling out the possibility, I would love to have some proof.

I do love my wild theories, but I also don't like getting my hopes up only to have them shattered in front of me. Agreeing with Azure and Elanna here, proof would be most welcome.
