Should Deltora Quest become a Movie

Its in the cavern of fear, when Lief comes home and Sharn tells him the deltora annals have been saved. Lief reads the tale of the pirran pipe, and Ranesh tells him that Jasmine had read the annals, too and he had seen her at it. Then Lief thinks- Ah, yes you would notice, Ranesh. How does Lief know what ranesh is like. Why, even in the previous page Rodda admits Lief does not know ranesh when he thinks- This must be Ransh, Jasephs assistant. He, unlike Joseph... Or something like that

and i know we've talked bout this b4 but how do u pranounce lief's name again is it like leaf or life???

there was some reason but i cant remember he can just tell wat he's like from the way he sneeks around and stuff or something like that

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I love Deltora Quest, I just finished Sister of the South. I was so happy with the ending. I have seen the 52 episodes of Deltora Quest anime. You can find a lot of them on veoh.com and search for 'Deltora'. They are raw (no subtitles), but those that read the books pretty much know what the characters are saying. All episodes except for 13, 15, 16, and 18 should be there. To view episode 18 it's on kewego.com and a search for "Deltora 18". I hope this helps those of you who want to see the episodes.

Hey guys! Sorry for the absence, what with Christmas, New Years, a few birthdays, getting a job and what not I've been a bit too swamped for posting. But I'm back! Woo and stuffs! Though I dunno what's up with Elanna or Azure, hope they haven't left, more so Azure because at least I got Elanna's msn, don't have Azure's, losing contact with friends is never fun, though my mates from school are still around... for now... ANYWAY!
Welcome to our group of friends Ardith! I am tempted to hunt down the eps but I'd prefer to wait until the English version comes out, when it comes to watching an anime for the first time I prefer not to think, thats saved for later when I get bored and watch out for plot holes or easter eggs. =P

It seems I was correct in an earlier post - they are doing some filler episodes for the interlude between Series 1 and Series 2. Since the preview for next weeks episode has the gang in Raladin...

Normally I would have a spas about this(as it is not in the book), but I've reasoned that they have to get from the bit where Lief discovers his identity to when he gets almost killed by a plains scorpion at 2 in the morning. Plus they do mention that he has a few assasination attempts before that incident... and as its an anime they can't mysteriously skip several weeks, maybe even a few months. And I'm sure that they either got the ideas from the wonderful Emily Rodda or atleast get her to proof read their ideas for these episodes. It is her world after all.

Oh and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year....

Welcome Ardith! I'm pretty new here myself, compared to elanna, she's been here for about three years! I really h8 it when animes and movies mess things up- its like the Eregon movie and the fifth harry potter- they mix up the events and make up things that never appen in the book! I do hope that Peter jackson will be directing a deltora movie, th LOTR movie was REALLY good

With Peter Jackson... he is a good director I admitt... but I still haven't forgiven him for cutting Tom Bombodil and the Battle of the Shire.

heyy Ardith welcome to the thread!! im deffinately going to look at the DQ anime even if its not in english. thanx so much for telling us where it is. i really dont mind who the director is as long as a DQ movie comes out... but it would be better to have a great diretor for a better outcome

Oh lets not get me started on Eragon and Harry Potter 3 (3 is the worst by far...I like book 3 too, stupid film makers....)

I agree that a good director is mandatory for the Deltora Quest movie to be good. I like the anime, but they changed it quite a bit. Neridah was supposed to steal the diamond and be killed because of the curse, but she lives after stealing the diamond. Steven's name was changed to Lucas, and Nevets' name is Sacul. This change was acceptable because there is no 'v' sound equivalent in the japanese language.

Oh noes! 4kids has already attacked DQ! Now characters can't die! I should have seen it with Theagan! But seriously, name changes, if it's for the Japanese version is fine by me, as long as they stay true to the real names in English, among good voice acting, sticks with the plot and books and no 'OMFG!? Over the top' censorship I'm fine.

I thought the hp3 was better then hp5, I mean, in hp5 they cut out a lot of the good bits! And Marietta dosn't turn DA in, Chang in forced to instead! I dont really want to watch dq until its in english so...

I didn't like it, they skipped the marauders plot, had Harry find out Peter was running around the castle before Lupin, locked Sirius in a cage, postponed the Firebolt until the end and PIG! They cut Pig out! Not gonna start on how skewed the time line was.
