Tacticus(c. 55-117):

Writing in his Annuals approximatly A.D. 115, the Roman historian Tacitus reports of the famous fire tha broke out in Rome under the reign of the corrupt and notorious Emperor Nero.

To suppress this rumor [that he had started the fire], Neor fabricated scapegoats and punished with every refinement the notoriously depraved Christians (as they were popularly called). Their originator, Christ, had been executed in Tiberius's reign by the governer of Judea, Pontius Pilate. But in spite of this temporary setback the deadly superstition had broken out afresh, not only in Judea (where the mischief had started) but even in Rome. All degraded and shameful practises collect and flourish in the capital.

This quote indicates that Tacticus likely checked official Roman records to compile his history. He is the only Roman historian to Mention Pontius Pilate, the two Jewish writers-Josephus and Philo-tell of Pilate's harsh rule in Judea. Tacitus verified that Jesus' public like took place during Emperor Tiberius's reign, an important fact also mentioned by the Evangelist Luke (Luke 3:1-2)

How do you prove that the universe is real ? You do not prove it, you define it that way. Believing in God is not different of believing anything to be real. When someone prove something to you, then first you have to believe that the proof that was show means that the thing is real.

This is the crux of the matter, what determines the difference between science and scientism, the difference between a fair and unfair consideration of scientific method.

God. And I believe in both.........God.... AND the evolutionary theory.
