USH'S STAR WARS GAME- Future discussion

I suspect he meant that playing the Light Side would be the same, whereas there is a worthwhile difference with the Dark Side.

of the current game?

Its a healthy attitude.

For the Jedi, the stories might just be the same as before just set several millennia earlier. If people have just played lots of prequel stories on the same subject it could seem a bit dull.

The Sith is different - but this means people shouldn't think the Sith stories are going to be anything like the current dark side stories but just with added Force Lightning.

Of course, if people really like light side games being a Jedi won't matter...

And playing the Sith will be nothing like playing the light side Jedi.

well..i'md efintiely convinced...sith it is.
if that's the game available for playing, that is

It is as available and ready as the second Matrix game and the magic rules for LotR.

In other words, not at all?

Sith would be cool...

(honestly...could anyone see me actually playing a light side character?)

well''you couldn't do much worse that some current light siders 😛

as for those magic rules...there were some promisses involved..of them actually being ready 😛

Harsh... all these things exist in an abstract sense.

Actually, in a sense it is more ready as the rules are pretty much the same. I think all that would need doing is to have some Force Lightning rules and probably some slightly different templates.

This is not to say that the Imperial v Rebel story isn't any good. And in fact, is halfway written.

based on that i am to understand that the characters would have a greater force skill that our current characters?

Err, I certainly have no reason to think that; it wasn't a more powerful time.

well he mentioned force lighting rules.....we don't have those now

An interesting question Dexx.

My gut feeling is no. I haven't really seen anything to suggest that generically the standard of Force skill has risen or fallen over the years. Or put another way, move Yoda and Siddious back 4,000 years and they both still would be one of the top (if not the top) Jedi or Sith. (Unless someone can tell me otherwise).

Making templates stronger is largely a redundent process as stronger templates need stronger antagonists. However, they may turn out to be stronger as part of the template tweaking process.

What I intended to mean was that the templates would have different skill sets.

Nope, that's because you don't know how. In the days of the Sith the Dark Siders will have been properly trained.

Force lightning....

Well, a Demnos game wouldn't split players into light side and dark side sides but Jedi and Sith. And the signature power of any Darth seems to be the lightning trick.

What it won't be is the ultimate weapon that can win any fight.

well yes obi wan proves that. i
either way..it's interesting...i hope we get to play it.
still a long way ahead with the current one

Honestly, I don't think it'd be as cool if it was an ultimate weapon...

never thjought it to be cool in the first place...might've looked nice in the 70s..but i'm sure gl regrets it ahs to implement it now

Rebels vs. Imperials would be cool....
