I know. I sold my initially, then wanted it back, and it was still sitting there for $14.99. Some poor guy did indeed shell out $50, and the seller claims it's OOP, and it's not. The only OOP Transformers DVDs issued through Rhino are Heroes, Villains, and the Original Series sets.

I've seen copies of the Criterion Collection edition of Armageddon on the shelves for almost $40.00. I refuse to pay that much for a DVD, much less a Michael Bay movie. Most of my 400+ DVD's are used and in flawless condition.

However, I did buy the extended edition LOTR trilogy DVD's. Those were pretty pricey, but definitley worth it.

I got the 2 disc Criterion Armageddon for $5 once. Sold it..just because the movie wasn't watchable more than once. Come to think of it, I've gotten about 15 Criterion at $5, thanks to GameStop. Granted, I didn't keep them for myself..

Okay, I am jealous now. Is this shop Game Stop all over America or just in the state you are in Cine?

I've been to GameStop locations in both MN and NC, so they must be scattered about. All my Criterion finds were in Minneapolis. Three seperate occassions, someone has dumped off a load of them. My first time, I found Blood for Dracula (Udo Kier?), The Seventh Seal, The Lady Vanishes, and two others. Most recently, along with a copy of "Brazil" for $5, I found Kurosawa's Throne of Blood, Le Cercle Rouge, Grand Illusion, And the Ship Sails On, etc.

I respect the label, but none of those really interested me, so I resold them for a little less than retail. I *am* looking for The Seven Samurai, Z, Robocop, Silence of the Lambs, The Rock, Salo, and a few others. If I ever come across those..I'll be a happy, happy boy. 😊

Finding Criterions there though is really hit or miss. I know you're planning a trip here, so a GameStop store locator can be found at http://www.gamestop.com/locatordetail.asp.

I wish Kino would sell the rights to "Metropolis", "Nosferatu", "Der Golem (Golum)", and "Dr. Caligari" and allow Criterion to issue them. It would be a dream come true.

# Available Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround)
# Commentary by director Jonathan Demme, stars Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, screenwriter Ted Tally and FBI agent John Douglas
# Deleted scenes
# Seven deleted scenes
# Film-to-storyboard comparison & Storyboards
# FBI crime classification manual
# Voices of Death: word-for-word statements of convicted serial killers

Non-Anamorphic Widescreen on the CC, as well. Commentary alone was enough for me to upgrade, even though the audio is 2.0 surround. I won't watch it so often that it would make a difference, but I felt obligated to upgrade since I got it for $17.

I'll have to go upgrade it then. I'm gonna wait to buy Sin City because there is supposed to be another version release at th end of the year (director's cut/unrated/extended/whatever). Also I hear that Alien vs. Predator will also.

I updated the DVD/UMD Release Date Thread the other day. They're practically all there, except for "Sin City".
