Recent Blu-ray/DVD Purchases

I bought the Criterion edition of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas today. Totally good buy. Loads of extras, not to mention commentary Hunter S. Thompson (R.I.P.), the liner notes and mini-booklet inside with a short essay by Thompson himself. Also a very under rated movie, IMO.

Not to mention the cool scrapbook included. For $15, I'm happy with it.

OOP doesn't mean they're unavailable. But, if extras don't mean anything to you...

Ghostbusters 2 just has filmographies. In addition to having just given away "Ghostbusters 1" in a contest here, I see it all the time for $4.99 at pawnshops, and $7.99 at CD Warehouse.

It just sucks that they threw both movies, totally stripped, into a set. Not even commentary.

Well, I've only seen the first Ghostbusters once at a GameStop and it was in poor condition. I've never found anything used at GameStop that was in that great of a condition anyway. It was $10 too. So for $5 more I got both movies brand new in a smaller case (gotta look for those with my shelf filling up now).

..and I recieved "Flash Gordon" and my 2 disc "Big Trouble in Little China".

I haven't seen Mom and Dad Save the World since I was a kid. I remember loving it. Eric Idle and Jon Lovitz, can't be all bad, right?

Frequency's a good one but totally about TMNT and Spice World.

I justfiy getting "Spice World" because it was $3.99, I wanted it back when Wal Mart had it in the $5,50 bin, and it's just a silly novelty movie. Kind of like "KISS Meet the Phantom of the Park", which I would kill to have on DVD.

"TMNT" was $5.99, and I was just thinking about that movie the other day, lo and behold, it pops up in the pawn shop. The sequels are crap, save Vanilla Ice in 2, "Secret of the Ooze".

Cheap prices, alright. M&DSTW was $9.99. Talk about no extras. This doesn't hide the fact that it has zero features. Not that anyone would actually save the deleted scenes or anything in the closet.

That was thee worst Jeffrey Jones movie ever, IMO...and that's coming from someone who looooooooves "Stay Tuned".

single disk Punisher, not worried about missing out, dunno which Trainspotting i got, and American Psycho (theres a story i need to tell to explain this one) when my grandmother died my mum had to clean out all her stuff for my grandpa. when she was doing it, there was $40 of vouchers for Sanity. they were old and suppost to be out of date, so i thought i might be able to stooge the store and get something. well i was on the way home from melbourne, me and stacee in the car for 4 hours, wanting to get home, stopped into a sanity, saw American Psycho and Evil Dead and went "f*ck it, that'll do" grabbed them and tried not to look nervous as the woman put in the codes for the vouchers. she accepted them, i was waiting for the computer to say "vouchers void" but i took my stuff and left quickly before it could. i wasn't worried that i only got the one disk movie, i was stoaked to get if for nothing! story over

Ahhhh..scored the OOP 2 Disc Anchor Bay release of "Supergirl"..STILL SEALED..for $18.50.

An absolute bargain, given someone paid $45 for a used copy a few days ago.

Out of curiosity, what versions of each? 2 disc or 1? I've been upgrading everything I can to 2 disc.
