Skynet/Cyberdyne

I agree, I guess the Terminator has passed through the media and affected real life military technology.

thats nuts

I guess we can blame James Cameron for the ultimate annihilation of humankind some day. 🙂

Haha, yeah its all somehow his fault.

The orginal vision or spark for Cameron creating the Terminator was him seeing an endoskeleton walking through large flames with the fire reflecting off of its body in a dream he had. Then later he sketched the technical stuff or details with Stan Winston. Actually I suppose Winston is equally responsible for all the inspiration they have had on the nation's army or goverment. Perhaps we are seeing the beginning of the real life Skynet.

It really is possible, which is daunting.

I suppose now people are finally realizing how advanced and sophisticated the concepts of Skynet/Cyberdyne actually were and still are.

^ ya i saw it on E! once that this whole thing for TERMINATORstarted when james would have these dreams about endo skeleton chasing him or something. it really haunted him. The questioned was asked to stan winston i remember that is it possible for machines to become self-aware, and he dismissed it saying that machines can never do that. but1 neverknows, i how ever believe its just sci-fi and it should b treated that way, the idea could sound realistic, however it wont happen. end of discussion

(next thing i know2morrow on news... machines taking over mankind haha)

I just find it striking how the military is actually using ideas from the films and story (Skynet) to create actual weapons and "early" forms of robots for combat purposes.

😂

It wont be that funny when they start blowing us up. lol

fear

Haha exactly

This is "Terminator Redemption's" version of Skynet's interior.

Now THAT looks awesome.

I just found this link where you can find ALL the info you will probably ever need on Skynet. http://www.goingfaster.com/term2029/skynet.html

I thought this discussion was worthy of a resurrection.

Indeed it was.

A question, in the deleted scene in TI, do we actually see the Cyberdine building at the end?

Yes. The factory where the Terminator was crushed is the Cyberdyne building. Just before the end of the scene, the camera pans up the building until you see the Cyberdyne logo.

Oooooh, I must get a hold of this T1 special edition!

If you do, let me know 😛
