true, goth doesnt mean what type of music you listen to or what make up you wear.
do you get into devil worship? this is not a cool thing dude. not something to be played around with. i am goth, but i dont believe in taking it to the drastic measure of ranking and SorD worship. an whitch craft isnt all that grand. rankers hurt themselves more than they would try hurt anyone else. it is something to second guess.
our lifestyle is dark, yes. but i think there is a limit to shadows. in this black and white topic we are walking about, there are many levels of grey. just watch out what you get into.
Sorry to kind of go off topic but i have been reading the earlyer posts on this thread and i am ashamed of what you people think of us, i have hear the term "attention whore" use on more than one acattion, i would just like to say i dont draw attention to my self you "normal" people do that hear are some examples i think other goths can relate to
Friday afternoon i was at collage, heading to my lesson on the way a "normal" person calles me a "f**king goffic" (i know its gothic or goth but thats what he said)
Then i enter my lesson, i head streinght to the corner of the room so i can be alone to wallow in my own depretion, then another "normal" person comeover and makes some lame ass joke about me hating life (whitch i do but that not the point)
A while befor this me and a friend (he is also a goth) were walking around town when a "normal" person and his gang picked pu a glass bottle and chased us around town till be hid in a back ally.
Thursday mornning genraly stud around collage talking with my friend (yes he is a goth) and another "normal" person comes along and starts giving us shit
Walking through town (can be any day/time) and i get called "goff" "goth" "goffic" "gothic" or any genral insult (sutch as "f**ker" or "s**t head"😉
Now all of those examples were un provoked, that is what makes me ashamed off you people you call us attention whores when your the ones giving us the attention, i genral sit alnoe in my room in the dark or wander around the waste land that is near my house in the dark, now it seem like you are drawing the attention to us.
I will admit there are those who try to draw attention to them selves by all means call these peeople attention whores, but dont stero type goths as attention whores because most of us are not
hmm i dont see the big problem, let people dress, speak, act, ect, how ever they wont, what gives you the right to bag people just coz you dont dress like them, its just like if i make a thread about Surfers and diss them coz they wear bord shorts ect, it makes no sense,
but any ways those kids only dress liek goths to be cool, if you read what they say, they tell you that, they dont act like a goth coz its them, they only do it to be cool, which imo makes them losers

Hmm i kind of agree with you there, they are only dressing how they do to be cool, but thay are not losers thay are attempting a preticualy hard task, they are trying to find out what it is to be a real goth most start out like this (not me tho my story is very different) in a few years they will know what it is to be a real goth, but at least they are not letting society push them around by being a goth they are rebelling, why i dont know maybe ther is a darker reason for what they are, as the text only says they are trying to be cool tho i belief they have a deeper reason, as none i have ever met have become a goth because they think it looks cool.
Yes, i do know one. I don't like to think of her as a "poser" or "attention whore", but she just loves attention. I think its more of a natural attraction that pulls people to her, rather than anything else. Most of the people who are drawn to her also have goth traits. I actually loved her for a while, still do, but she moved to Florida.
For anyone who is keeping tracks on my posts, this is the girl i have been talking about from the beggining. She is soooo dam fine and such a sweet person to know. I miss her so dam much.
Have you been reading my posts? (espetialy the one i did at 12:21 PM) if so you will conclude that it is the "normal" people who draw attention to us, i genraly try to stay away from the "normal" people but if i have to go near them they make lame ass jokes about death, satan or genraly be ignorant as link was , an exaple is askin why im a goth then when i try to tell them they insult me 🙁
im not as wise as my posts. i often have fits of anger that explode every great once in a while. it happens to the best and worst of us. i am still trying to take control of my anger.
if you have ever listened to the lyrics of the song by creed "what if" it has a phrase. "what consumes your thought controls your life."
its common since, if you are constantly thinking of how someone wronged you, you will be constantly angry. does that make any scence?
