So, don't be late for class. And, you're also stereotyping right now, not all popular kids are like that. There are plenty who got popular by being nice, friendly, funny and likeable to a lot of different people. Not all are jerks, though most are.
I jusdg them on there actions rather than apperence, i have never met anyone who was popular that did not treat me like s**t butr still i do not judge them all to be ass holes.

Maybe showing some sort of affinity for other people would be a start for you?I cant help it if I dont feel comfortable buying into big brand names etc. I do feel comfortable hanging out with my friends who understand me, and yeah some dress like me, but that doesnt mean we dont have unique personalities. It just goes to show how ignorant you are when you make a general statement assuming someone you dont even know hasnt got a unique personality.
From my experiences people who rely on visual appearances to stand out don't usually have unique or interesting personalities. That's why they're insecure in the first place, and that's why they have to rely on clothing to get them noticed. It's not being ignorant, just logical and honest.

But its also being offensive and it seems you arent trying to understand people, only judge them. If I was to dye my hair pink, people might think it was attention seeking, or to do with being unsure about my identity, but maybe I just liked the colour? I'm sure if you got to know people who you think are goths, preps, grungers, whatever, you would actually find theyre interesting people.
I tend to vary the way I look from day to day not becuase I want to get noticed not a conscious level any how and not becuase I'm shallow but becuase I use my aperance as a commuication tool to reflect how I feel. colour is a big communicator. my mum and her bf think it hilarious I say good to make them laugh. not becuase thats my aim at all but becuase I'm just EXPRESSING myself.

Oh, I've had friends from all walks of life. I've been friends with goths, preps, grungers, geeks, jocks. They were all good people, however that doesn't change my opinion that most people from those groups are really really stupid. The ones I've been friends with were the exception to the rule.
As for the whole pink hair scenario, I don't give a second thought to a persons hair color, if I see someone with pink hair I could care less. Something as trivial as hair doesn't make a person unique in my eyes.
I don't think there's anything to "understand" about most of these people. That's a term used to try and back up their lifestyle when they lack a relevent argument for their lifestyle. "Oh, you don't understand me". It's a way to make them seem deep or complex when in reality they just don't have a valid reason for dressing the way they do, or thinking the way they do. They're generally too dumb to give a valid defense or argument for their way of life, so trying to make the other person seem out of the loop by claiming they don't understand is the simplest, yet most invalid argument a person can make.

off topic, but JEEZ you must type fast!
Anyway, all Im trying to say is that if you percieve people as different and think, 'people from groups are boring' or whatever, then all your doing is accepting that society says they are. The fact that youve had friens who were goths etc. that you thought were good people just shows that every group, including 'normal' people (yeah, technically its a type off person) has its great people, its assholes and its boring people.
When I say 'understand', all I mean, is that you dont stop and think, 'Ok, so that persons a goth/chav/whatever, but that doesnt necessarily mean theyre like all other goths/chavs/whatever.' You dont get to know people before you assume that theyre like all the rest of their 'clique'.
Well. Maybe you do, cos obviously youve had friends from "All walks of life", but you said yourself that you think people from groups are, in general, not interesting. And thats just not true.

He did mean generally, and that's what you just said that's the problem with generalizations, there are always a few exceptions.
