ok my analogy of multi functional wasnt very good but i got a new one. a DS is to a house with basic necessities+two tvs. and a psp is to a house with basic necessities, a rec room, a swimming pool/spa, and a big screen tv.

rec room- gaame playability
big screen tv - speaks for itself, big screen, and i think the psp plays movies and shows photos too
swimming pool/spa - relaxing stuff - mp3s, music (some music can be relaxing)

maybe some people are generous and wont accept or do not want the bonuses of the psp, but i like it

Ehh movies..are fine but I doubt your going to be sitting there in oen single spot like say a bus or car and see the whole movie..I mean your neck will get stiff just looking.

I've seen people play on their Gameboys for hours. Movies. Games. There's little difference.

obviously u wont watch the whole movie on a single bus ride, but things such as air flights...going to an old folks home, laying in a hostpital bed(with hands, and eyes functional) or just sitting on the porch. neck problems depends on yourself

to draco:
i think watching movies/listening to mp3s on the go is easier than playin games on the go...

Not really it's like going to the movies and sitting at the front. You have to keep your head up sometimes well if you were short to see everything adn after a good two hours it bugs you.

Second people play gameboy because tehre fingers are active and there minds are well working on the gaem a movie you sit there and well jsut watch.

To Neves:

Very good argument. I would just pause the movie and resume the movie whenever I wanted to. Same thing with games.

Eh if there like dvds just using the screen selection is better then pausing for the movie..because of the batteries and not wasting them.

The fact is really

DS - for fun, more then one person, talking to people.

PSP - for self entertainment (both with music, movies, and games mostly)

Not alot are out for either so you really can't tell which is better.

1. only stupid people sit in the first row of a movie theatre, possibly little kids. unlike a huge projection screen, u can move ur psp around (ex// hold in on ur lap, hold ur arms up...). afterall, if u go to skool, u hafto read looking down.

2. cr@p that was a good point 😠

3. for the new post u had- the psp is also for multi players too.

DS: emphasizes on multiplayer, younger age audience.

psp: self entertainment, wider audience, and (multi player too)

note that self entertainment counts as fun. movies, games, and music are 3 out of the 5 necessities of entertainment.
-tv, internet, MUSIC, GAMES, MOVIES. and ds only has games.

Alright well lets see I first off when your at school doing work it doesn't bther you because your hands are doing something and like alot of people they can't sit still on a desk. They're either sleepign on it..while doing there work constantly looking up and checking.. besides watching somethingn and hearing something is more boring then reading something.

'll give you an example..very boring book to me "merchant of Venas" or something. Last year in our english class there were days where we read it on our own and sat there for about an hour reading. There were other days where they jsut played a tape and we jsut stared at the book hearing the person talk...a good amount of the class fell asleep.(thats jsut for some...I know some that can jsut sit there watching and seem to not get bored or bothered by doign that.)

watching and hearing is not boring if you're watching a good favourite movie you bought

Well I buy a movie I want to see it on a big tv lol

Or a tv screen that is atleast bigger then my hand.

can u bring that anywhere u want to???

and since psps will release a sorta umd movie thing, u dont hafto buy it, u can rent it at blockbuster...and i would buy movies...comedies are the best for watching over and over.

in this ds vs psp feud, less is definately not more.

Yeah True comedies are because there arn't big action scenes. I doubt that with that size of a screen it will lok greet action scenes. It's true I'm not basing it but watching somethign like I robot or A.V.P will sorta be crap.

And yes though you can bring them anywhere but liek a gameboy if you've put the game becuase your bored of it..and you take it jsut incase you'll need it you won't end up using it...you might even lose it like that.

ya. the psp isnt a bad thing like some people say. It gives you more variety to your hand held entertainment.

-if you lose ur gba/ds/or psp its ur responsibility. But usually in public skools, the older kids steal the gbas from the kids.

In ay school a person will tkae if given teh oppurtunity so you cna't say just a GBA.

Second even if it is your responsability I guarentee you thats most of the reason why people bring mroe then one game..or in future case movies.

Besides variety is fine just depends really...like I said I doubt the movie is great..the music I can see how it will be fine.

hey, atleast buying a psp is cheaper than buying a portable dvd player.

Yeah thats true..but I wouldn't consider buying a protable DVD player. tehre for kids man..you know long trips bored..they don't like music...well msuci that you can stand so you pop thema dvd and that'll shut them up.

i think we're gettin off topic.

Portable dvd players arn't cheaper. There's some for 60 bucks and up. Obvious, the better player costs more.
But using the PSP for movies is not cost efficient. You have to buy the UMD version of the movie. You cant use that movie with any other device that plays movies. So your stuck with it. So whenever you want to watch the movie, well, its either you watch it on the small screen or buy an DVD version.
I know for sure that i would never buy an UMD version of a movies, just for the sole reason of watching it on the road.
Gameboy Advance has the same problem They have cartidge based cartoons that you buy for 20 bucks. Its cool, but not econonmical feasible.
