At any rate Batman would be the first to go down. Whether Nightcrawler Wolverine, or any other X-man (member of the X-men, not Nate Grey, who is also referred to as X-man) else does it. Superman would have his hands full with Phoenix (Rachel Summers, not Jean Grey) as her psychic powers have the capacity to move planets.
yeah, mostly the red and gold team, its still alot of members though
this is how i see the line-up: gambit, wolverine, pheonix, nightcrawler, cyclops, beast, cannonball, colossus, storm, and thats it...i am missing characters from just those two teams though, we should really re-specify, i know draco posted it already but just in case heheh
Maritian Manhunter would be consumed by Phoenix's Fire; Wonder Woman would get her ass handed to her by Rouge;
There are teams
Phoenix (Rachel Summers version can almost fully utilize phoenix force,)
Nightcrawler
Rogue
Cannonball
Storm
Iceman
Collossus
Gambit
vs.
Superman
Wonder Woman
Batman
The Flash (Wally West)
Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter

For some reason, you wanted to argue the validity of magnetism having greater control over wavelengths and frequencies, then suddenly you switched gears by saying that it was fruitless to argue about science when it concerns a fictional character. I agree with the latter statement (nice to know we agree on something). The former statement is iffy at best. If you really get in depth (no, I'm on my winter break, and I'm not gonna argue about a science that's purely theoretical.) you'll find that magnetism does not have that much of an affect on the electromagnetic spectrum. (like I said its a misnomer) You still don't seem to understand what it is about. For example, you mentioned that "Magnetism in essence, is essentially generated by the differences in wavelengths between two types of matter that reside within the spectrum. It doesn't just have to do with just metal my friends... but the various wavelengths we all resonate from our bodies" I don't know where you got this, but this completely wrong. A wavelength is not an actual energy. It's just a mathematical unit to measure electromagnetic radiation. Wavelengths are converted to meters, and frequencies is converted to cycles of a second. We don't have wavelengths resonating from our bodies, we have radiation resonating from our bodies. I think you got the two confused. You have bare aspects right, but not the entire concept as a whole.
Nightcrawler cannot lift 1 ton. The Official Marvel Handbook on the X-Men states that his max lifting strength is 800 lbs. One ton equals two-thousand pounds. Batman does not have telepathy, but he's a brilliant tactician. If Nightcrawler attacked Batman first and managed to teleport rapidly with a dozen punches and kicks, then yes NC would beat Batman. If Batman faced Nightcrawler in the latter portion of the battle, than no. Batman would have deduced a pattern or trend in Nightcrawler's attack (i.e. teleporting from behind) and the elements that come with his teleportation (i.e. brimstone smell, and a "bamf" smell). Batman would take him out with preptime. Nightcrawler's been beaten by lesser opponents. (i.e. the flamethrower guy in the London tunnels.
Green Lantern's ring is capable of anything. It cannot be taken off magnetically because its not made of metal. Its made of a element native to Oa. Green Lantern faced down Dr. Light (who actually controls the entire electromagnetic spectrum) and prevailed. Green Lantern's ring makes hard light plasma holograms that can imitate any and all energies. The plasma is like a elemental stem cell, it doesn't know what to be unless the ring bearer tells it what it wants to be. That's why it can become anything. Rock, gas, fire, water, metal, concussive energy, anything. Magneto may have incredibly powerful but hes bound to one energy type, one power. GL's ring has access to all energy types. It's only limit is the ring-bearer's imagination. The ring also houses a supercomputer that contains the knowledge and wisdom of past Green Lanterns. Whenever it encounters a new threat that it hasn't before, then the ring is automatically programmed to scan the opponent for any weaknesses. Magnetism is nothing new. The Guardians once said the laws of science yield to the green power ring. GL can do anything he's little heart desires as long as he has the willpower to back it. He once contained a giant supernova, an exploding supersun with the power of innumerable nuclear warheads. He literally can do anything. Magneto would put up a good fight. But his powers and limitations is old news to GL. GL once went up against a guy named Justice who wielded incredible electromagnetic powers and won. His ring has already developed strategies and defenses prior to that fight and subsequently this fight.
You're a good debater, WD. But you skip around the issues. I have consistently met all of your arguments head on. You haven't. You still haven't refuted my argument about MM. Or my argument about GL. As for the Phoenix, Rachel is a rookie plan and simple. The JLA faced down 400 white martians, an army of angels, an ancient sun that would destroy the entire universe, and even God himself. The Phoenix would give a good fight, but with Batman's ingenuity, Supes and WW's raw power, MM's telepathy and the most powerful weapon in any weapon. The Phoenix and the X-Men go down. Sorry for the lateness by the way. I was watching a football game with my dad.
Good lord...already up to 200 posts 😱 ...last night before I posted my response we only had 100..
oww..my head hurts..anyways..go do some reading about the electromagnetic spectrum...magnetism has very little to do with metals..but more so the electrical currents produced by said metals...
These electrical currents can be measured in wavelengths....Not all these wavelengths are greatly impacted by the phenomenom known as "magnetism", however, they all are effected by it..sans the expression "electromagnetic spectrum" (which includes light, heat..radio waves..etc)
but enough with physics..lol..I'm a Computer Science Major..
Your correct in your assertion...Nightcrawler can not lift a ton over his head..As you stated..he can only lift about 800 lbs in this fashion(The Marvel handbook actually mentions he can lift at "least" 800 lbs). But there's a difference between physically lifting something over your head..and what you can lift with your legs. Most normal human beings can lift up too 3 times as much with their legs as they can with their arms...So I did the math...and factored into to account Nightcrawler not being a normal human being..and came up with one ton being a reasonable amount to assume Nightcrawler could lift with his legs(however..he could hypothetically lift much more..)
GL could easily be manipulated by Magneto..he is human after all..and the aura the ring generates around his body isn't impenetrable...How do you think Parallax managed to obtained all his rings?(I think you know the answer to that one..)
And why wouldn't Magneto be able to manipulate the iron or electrical impulses within Kyle's body as he would with anyone else? Kyle ain't no scientist..Magneto is..regardless of the rings scanning ability..Kyle is still limited to his imagination and willpower..and as we've seen in the GL series, willpower is Kyle's biggest limitation..while Magneto on the other hand personifies willpower.
The Rachel I'm referring to is not a rooky..but is very skilled and determined.. read some of the earlier X-men and Excalibur issues..
Gotta go to work for now..School and work..its tough but that's life..I'll follow up with the rest of your post later...oh yeah your a good debater too..(not..just kidding..BWAHAHAHA..ER..UM...FRAGGIN HA.)
💃
Damn, 12 pages, didn't this thread just start last week?
Anyways, I only wanna comment on a few things. First of all, Nightcrawler beating Flash, ain't gonna happen. Why? Simple, because by the time Nightcrawler teleports behind him, Wally would be right behind Nightcrawler with a sandwich he made back home while Nightcrawler was teleporting. Okay, I'm overexaggerating, but most of you get my point. There's a big difference between teleporting and superspeed. Teleporting can get you somewhere quick and almost instantly, but does little good against someone who can move and think at lightspeed. Nightcrawler can teleport around Flash all he wanted, and Flash is more than fast enough to spot him as he's teleporting and moving out of the way. Flash can speedblitz Nightcrawler with ease.
Batman and Nightcrawler? Now, I think Nightcrawler could beat Batman, but of course, Batman didn't get his reputation for nothing. He won't know anything about Nightcrawler when they first meet, but it won't take him long to figure out that he's dealing with a teleporter who leaves the smell of brimstone behind. He is just good and strategic enough to at least catch Nightcrawler a few times with a punch, kick, or gas grenade.
Technically speaking, Nightcrawler could teleport Batman to the alternate dimension through which he travels, and leave him there to die. But he's never done that before, so I guess that it wouldn't be logical for him to do so during this fight.
And another thing for the Batman Fanboys, Nightcrawler can teleport instantaneously, or he could delay his return. He also would not have to teleport for the entirety of the fight, as his agility would allow him to avoid most of batman's blows. Batman has never fought someone of Nightcrawler's calibur, possesing superior speed, agility, reflexes and strength, assisted by a teleporting ability. It is too much for a human, even batman to endure. His chance's of winning are slim to none.

We don't have wavelengths resonating from our bodies, we have radiation resonating from our bodies. I think you got the two confused. Never referred to wavelengths as an energy..although the actual length of the waves represent various forms of energy..lol..read the above post and the previous one if your confused..
I did mention that wavelengths resonate from our bodies..and should of used the term "energywave" instead....anyway, however you want to explain it..Our bodies due resonate various waves of energy due to the elements, electrical currents, and the earth's gravitational(magnetic..) pull on our physical forms..which hypothetically could be used by
Magneto's shown on a many occassions that he can do all this on a cellular level(ie manipulating the iron from within someone's blood..), and any number of techniques could be used against Kyle..who is a normal human afterall..
But who's to say that he would be limited to going up against Kyle? If Magneto believed himself to be mismatched, he's experienced enough to take the battle to another JLA'er(Although I don't believe he would..he's gone up against cosmic spiderman/apocalypse/juggernaut and others of equal if not greater power to GL)..but again..any way you slice it..whether it be a deficiency that they have in the ability, tactile skill, or experience departments...all members of the JLA will have a difficult time facing Magneto one on one...an opponent who is potentially one of the most poweful guys in any comic Universe...
...Nightcrawler cannot lift 1 ton. The Official Marvel Handbook on the X-Men states that his max lifting strength is 800 lbs. One ton equals two-thousand pounds. Batman does not have telepathy, but he's a brilliant tactician..."
.....the blue devil can also jump about 8 feet up in the air from a standing position..far higher than any normal man. The strength one would need to do this greatly supports my initial "1 ton leg lift" assertion...
"..If Nightcrawler attacked Batman first and managed to teleport rapidly with a dozen punches and kicks, then yes NC would beat Batman. Man someone should start a NC vs Batman thread 😉
Anway..I have to disagree with you my friend. You have too many "if Batman could do this".."and if he could do that"..not enough facts. I don't know how fast Nightcrawler can teleport..but I'm sure its a lot faster than normal human reflexes can react to or follow...and sad to say..that's what good ol brucie is..a normal human.
He's not going to know exactly where Nightcrawler's going to teleport at any given time, and would have much difficulty following his movements based on his "human level" reaction time. Tactical skills can only get you so far, but they're not going to increase your physical prowess or abilities.
...and contrary to your opinion..there really is no definitive pattern that Nightcrawler engages in when using his teleportation in battle. Due to the strain/dangers it puts on his body, he generally avoids using it, unless the technique is absolutely needed.
...Batman would take him out with preptime. Nightcrawler's been beaten by lesser opponents. (i.e. the flamethrower guy in the London tunnels..."
True but the same can be stated of the Bat(ie his entire Freaking Rogues Gallery!!)..and one could argueably state that Nightcrawler's met less defeat at the hands of said "lesser opponents" than Batman, as well as faced much more difficult opponents than Batman.
I will even go as far as to say that NightCrawler would fare better against Batman's enemies.....than the other way around.(No way is NC loosing to Bane, Joker, ZZazz, or Two Face)

Bound to manipulating one energy type..lol..refer to my previous response above. Just because he doesn't generally manipulate light and other forms of energy on the spectrum..it doesn't mean that he can't..lol..I know I'm getting a little far fetched with this one..but I figured since you did it with the Batman vs Nightcrawler scenario..I can do it with GL vs Magneto..lol 😛

Well much of my skipping around has to do with my time constraints..I don't have all day to debate about comic book characters...lol(God forbid..)
In response you JLA accomplishments..let me give you some of the X-mens..
1. Have gone toe to toe with the Shiar Imperial Guard..(Essentially a copy of the JLA)
2. Destroyed class 100 robots aimed at killing of all of their kind..
3. Fought off Dracula and his army of dark warriors
4. Gone up against Demons trying take over the universe with their power(You remember "Inferno" storyline right?)
5. Stopped intergalactic aliens, from taken over the earth with their kind..(the "Brood" ring a bell)
Yes the X-men could go down..but it would not be an easy fight..and I could think of many scenarios where the JLA could be defeated as well...
Good debate my friend..you have earned my respect..
but always remember whobdamandog..lol 😎

The electromagnetic spectrum is misnomer. It applies to the different types of radiation. It has little to do magnetism at all in fact. The electromagnetic spectrum consists of gamma waves, radio waves, visible light waves, microwaves, infrared waves, and x-rays . That's the middle school version. The electromagnetic spectrum is just a dialect of wavelengths and energies that translate to radiation. Now Magneto has stated many times he has complete control of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. This may or may not be a mistake made by the writer who lacks scientific knowledge. If Magneto had complete control over the entire electromagnetic spectrum, he would have displayed control over microwaves, and would have used in fashion like the Avenger Firestar. If he had control over gamma rays, why not create an army of Hulks? Gamma rays are incredibly volatile. It's often used to create nuclear warheads. Why not use them to destroy his enemies? Magneto has never used his powers to control light, so we can assume he doesn't have it. Same thing with x-rays. Magneto's powers match his namesake. He has magnetic powers. Control over metallic proprieties. He also has access to the electromagnetic field that surrounds our planet. He can disrupt radio waves and electrical energies because it travels through the electromagnetic field. The others don't (not conventionally anyway, it's more complicated than that, but I won't get into that..your head may explode if it hasn't already)
I knew it 😆
