Last Movie You Saw? (Theater/Home)

The Fall (2006)

Really good film by a the same fella who did The Cell and Immortals.

Black Death (2010)
Outbreak (1995)

It sure was interesting watching those two films back-to-back. Both involve deadly plague, but the way it's handled in the different time periods is quite interesting. One descends into religious mania (Black Death) while the other (Outbreak) handles it with an approach from science. Both very good films and are highly recommended.

The trailer for that in the theater nearly gave me an aneurysm, it was so choppy and unpleasant. I really don't like his style of filmmaking. Even though the first one was decent, I'll probably pass on the sequel. It probably won't be any better, in fact it'll probably be much worse..

Was it any good? I'm hoping it was. The original had great dialogue but its plot execution felt dry.

Bad, but fun movie. I like the snowboard scene because when Vin has the goggles on I can pretend that he's playing Riddick. 😄 But Willem Dafoe would have made a much more interesting villain.. such a waste. 😬

The Descent

Didn't like it as much this time. I watched it a long time ago. I mean, it's fairly effective as a horror/thriller, but I'm not a huge fan of the editing. It's a bit too disorienting. A pretty cool premise, though, that could use better execution, imo.

Instant Netflix - The House of Spirits [I think that's what it's called?]
4/5 Stars.

The Onion Movie (2008). Very silly/amusing.
The Hills Have Eyes (2006). Actually pretty well done, if you want a gruesome and fairly effective horror film. It's very well filmed. I enjoyed it, over-the-top, though it is.
