Never have cared for Vanilla Sky. I need to go back and watch Eyes Wide Shut again, though, now that I learned in Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code that those sex orgies were actually pagan rituals. Might give it an extra layer that I missed the first time I saw it.

It does add quite a bit, as it turns the movie from a movie about orgies into the study of secrecy. I mean, without knowing about the rituals, the movie just looks like perversion - all the important people who are members. And if you remember, Da Vinci code [the book] said that all kiinds of important people where members of that particular secret society - Walt Disney, Galileo, a lot of people with a lot of very important jobs.

Anyway, Instant Netflix has "The Avengers" !! so just finished that. 😄

So I finished The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

I actually really enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I enjoyed the fact that there was some (sort of British style) humor in it, whereas LotR didn't really have much humor (that I remember). There's just some stupid shit, like the Stone Giants, that was completely unnecessary and just drags the movie out long than it should. I think it's a problem of them having too much budget. Other than that and a couple other things, I thought it was a lot of fun. The CGI seemed quite improved. Gollum's scene was freakin' awesome. He's just a fun spectacle to behold. My only fear is that he won't be in the next movies much.. I hope he follows them and is still in it.

.

Watched Terminator 2 : Judgement Day, and MI: 3. Philip Seymour Hoffman makes a great villlian! 😄

Olympus Falls. Really enjoyable action movie.

Jack the Giant Slayer

It's fun, I enjoyed it. I used to be interested in Jack and Beanstalk when I was a kid, so I suppose it supplied some nostalgia.

Streets of Fire 6.0 Out of 10

A Rock and Roll Fable
I don't understand how this is futuristic unless Rock and Roll music is King is futuristc.
Diane Lane very early in her career is Ellen Aim a famous singer of the band Ellen Aim and the Attackers. Raven (William Dafoe) the leader of the ruthless Motercycle gang the Bombers enter the Auditorium to kidnap her using guns the crowd is scared and leaves by running out. Wisecracks from multiple characters in this movie.

Tom Cody the ex Soldier returns, and is hired by Billy Fish (Rick Moranis) her current boyfriend and Manager to rescue Ellen but not without him going also along with the money price of being paid 10,000 Dollars.
The Tomboyish ex soldier McCoy hired for 10 percent to drive.
Tom destroys the Motercycles by shooting at the gas tanks that creates a panic while Mccoy is pointing a gun at the Bombers in a room. This proves successful because Cody sees where Ellen is in a room tied to a bed, he cuts the ropes. They get to the car but Cody stays behind, and shoots I think at a gasoline pump to continue to destroy the area of the Bombers.
Raven comes out finally happy to see he's found someone that plays as rough as him, there are lines obvious there is going to be a climax fight.
Cody and Ellen were once dating but for the possible reason of wanting to serve his country he left for the Military. Ellen became a famous during the time Cody was away, and there is still remains a connection between them like a on again off again couple.
Tom gets his reward tells Ellen there was a time he would have done anything for Ellen but not anymore, Ellen chases after Tom in the rain, kiss and the rest seems very familar if you have seen The Notebook.

A very good showdown fight with Raven and Cody, with vast Bombers armed with guns, and non Bombers also armed with guns on the other side surronding them to watch the climax fight.
Cody talks to Billy about Ellen telling him that he's ok with words, and it's him that Ellen needs. Cody has one last talk with Ellen that if she ever needs him for something he'll be there for her, kisses her, then it ends with Cody putting his bags in Mccoys car, and driving away.

👆 Was great!

Just watched White House Down. Wow. They need to call it White House Dumb. Ok, I didn't have high hopes to begin with, but it was too absurd. Cheesy lines, bad acting, and just lame action all around.

Which is why Roland Emmerich needs to get back to doing Independence Day sequels. If it's gonna suck, it might as well have Jeff Goldblum and outerspace aliens in it. Then, at least the absurdity fits.

World War Z

The Lone Ranger

Movie 43.

Whether it's funny is totally up to the individual.
However I found it pretty offensive & that's why I loved it!

"You sh#t on skanks... but you poop on the one you love!"

theater: Man of Steel

Home: "Olympus Has Fallen".

waaaaaaaaay better than "White House Down".

I'm trying to get into the recent Battlestar Galactica show...

It's a trip!
I would watch 3-4 episodes a night & then spend the next day wandering around in a daze itching for my next fix...SO SAY WE ALL!

Cool, so it should keep my interest? I've only seen the first part of the beginning Miniseries so far. I liked it.

Pacific Rim.

I finaly saw world war z and i thought it was okay compared to other new zombie movies. In 2001 i think it was they made a soccer commercial where they had people in cgi jump on top of each other to catch a ball, this movie used the same idea. 4/10. When brad pit found out his family was sent out to the camps he should have let humanity die!
