it's not perfect, but I'm enjoying the series.

Shit, I haven't seen it yet, but why does he keep making nearly 3-hour long movies if it isn't justified? I would go see it at the theater, but after he ruined Django with the last 25 minutes I'm inclined not to.The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials

I don't get this line of reasoning. You pay good money to see a movie, and you want it to be shorter, meaning you get less for your dollar. I want MORE movies to be longer. Why do you think television has more quality storytelling nowadays? Because they have time to let their characters and their plots breath. Even if you saw this movie online for free, wouldn't you rather have a story where you get the absolute best version of it possible?
Anyways, I actually really like The Hateful Eight. On reflection, the main plot doesn't EXACTLY hold up, but in the moment, the movie is tense and suspenseful and even scary at times as f.uck. There is one moment in particular that genuinely shocked me. It isn't even that shocking when writing about it, but the way it's presented is a genuine "Holy s.hit" moment. QT's still got it.

Of course it sucked for youyou like your movies jazzed with fancy special effects & explosions.
