The Big Short, parts were good but I had a hard time staying awake.

Wasn't my cup of tea either.

theater" Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

JASON GOES TO HELL.

Well, the first few minutes anyway.
It was on, and i recall liking how Jason got taken down by the cops, as it took me completely off guard.
What i forgot was how hot the woman who acted as the bait was. She also danced topless in the movie ROADHOUSE. She worked as a stunt woman and still gets bit parts to this day.

SUICIDE SQUAD
For only the second time. Easily the best of the DCEU movies.
Great over the top and subdued performances (depending on the characters). 1 Bruce Wayne/2 Batman cameos that beat all of Christian Bale's combined screen time.
A Joker performance that everyone from Leto himself on up had issues with, but i found very engaging. The much maligned tats weren't at all distracting.
Time for a 3rd viewing.

Suicide Squad was a turd. Sort of enjoyable in a way, but for the wrong reasons. It was interesting to watch because it was such a mess.

Rabid (1977)

3/5 stars. It's pretty good for 1977, but by today's standards it's a bit dated. It definitely showed David Cronenberg's talent, though, so it was still an interesting watch. Probably wouldn't bother with it again, though.

Panic Room (2002)

4.5/5 stars. Quite awesome. It had been probably 12 or more years since I saw it, so it was interesting knowing who all the actors were this time, Jared Leto, Forest Whitaker, Kristin Stewart as a youngen, and Jodie Foster. and of course David Fincher's brilliant direction. Great tense, violent thriller. Home invasion movies rule.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990)

3.5/5 stars. It had been a while. It's entertaining, but not nearly the great Christmas movie that the first one is.

It could have been better; it wasnt a turd.

So, disagree.

Turd.

Better than BvS and MoS combined, with a side of Nolan Bat trilogy, so, one damn fine turd.

😂

BvS was a less enjoyable turd, yes. But that's not saying much. SS had great trailers, but the movie was a disaster. It was totally retarded... they introduced a new character and had a different pop song every 5 minutes (trying to be like Guardians of the Galaxy), but most of the songs didn't fit the movie at all. It's like they were just pulled out of someone's ass at random. The faceless henchmen provided no real peril for the characters, much of it was completely lacking tension. Joker was tossed into the mix for no reason (other than marketing purposes of course). It was a horrible corporate controlled mess. Why not just make a movie with Will Smith's character? He was the one engaging character in the bunch and could have been interesting. Several of the characters could have had interesting standalone movies, but they tried to toss them all together at once and it was a disaster.

Turds.

Theater: Rogue One, really enjoyed; looking forward to second viewing

Home: Midnight Special, just okay.

The whole lot of 'em!

Die Hard With a Vengeance (1995)

It's better than I remembered. Bruce Willis and Sam Jackson's chemistry on screen is great and really bolstered the story. Probably the best of the sequels, but #1 is still the best. It's just pure gold and will probably never be topped.

We Own the Night (2007) 7/10
Passengers (2016) 7/10

Liked both films.

On TV.

YouTube video

Sing Street (home). A very good 8/10. Was a bit hesitant because it's about high school kids forming a band but it's definitely not Glee Club. If you like good music and don't mind swearing (and can get used to the accent) you'll end up having a great time watching this. Not quite The Commitments but a very creditable effort.

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

1/5 stars. I hate this damn movie. Doesn't feel like a Die Hard movie. No Christmas references and too generically filmed and edited. Hell, even 2 & 3 feel like Die Hard movies even though they too are inferior to the original.

Turbo Kid (2015)

Great movie. It was a throwback to 80's movies and really did well with handling troupes in comedic ways without making them too stupid. It didn't take itself too seriously but didn't go balls to the walls ridiculous either. There's a very fine line and it walked that line near perfectly imo.
