Last Movie You Saw? (Theater/Home)

Not a movie, but finally binge watched DEXTER season 8 as i'd lost touch with the show by season 4 due to deployments and other factors.
It wasnt nearly as bad as i'd heard it was.

It was much much worse.

Just watched Con Air again.

Greatest movie of all time.

Why don't they make movies like it anymore?

Finally saw Rogue One. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I think what I liked about it most is that it expanded the story beyond the Skywalker Saga and showed how these events impacted the common people and the ground swell of defiance. I really hope we get a movie about the Mandalorians or the Old Republic.

Home: The Silence of the Lambs.
Theater: Doctor Strange.

You're Next (2011). Home. I'm not usually a fan of slasher movies but this one was described as containing some black humour and emphasised it was more about one of the victims fighting back than just your usual hack-and-slash flick. I ended up liking the movie despite my earlier reservations and while it will still never be my favourite genre I am happy to give it a 6.5/10 - somewhere between above average and good.

As depressing as it may be, Most Men are slowly morphing into women, ergo testosterone driven action flicks don't do as well anymore.

Con Air and The Rock are the best Nic of that era.

Home: 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'

underappreciated movie. very unappreciated comic movie. my girl and her friend had never seen it, they loved it too.

Home: 'Masterminds'

this is why i don't listen to critics. This movie was supposedly terrible, but i enjoyed it. Plenty of laughs.

Home: 'The Accountant'

is a movie good even if you accurately predict everything that will happen?

the only thing i got wrong was who his dad was.

i enjoyed it, so i guess that answers my question.

Home: 'Neighbors 2'

just as funny as the first one, I'd say.

Home: 'Bad Moms'

There were some funny moments when the movie wasn't telling me how tough it is to be a mom. We get it, it's tough... this is a comedy, not a documentary on motherhood. There were some very cringe-y speeches that took me out of the movie.

we spent Christmas watching movies, if you couldn't tell. 😆

Eyecandy and an attempt at commentary on modern beauty culture.

Hush (2016)

Terrible poster, but good movie. Don't judge a movie by its poster. Another home invasion sort of thriller like Don't Breathe.

Pay the ghost.

Jeepers Creepers.
