Yeah. Well he wrote it. Tony Scott directed. I haven't been a HUGE fan of Tony Scott's direction, but I've been meaning to see it because Tarantino wrote it and the cast is so good.

I definitely consider it a Tarantino movie, despite him not directing.
While I would have loved to be a fly on the wall and know exactly how much input he had to the finished product, his signature is all over this movie!

RAMPAGE.
Insert Rock is a big monkey joke here.
But honestly it was pretty fun. Rock’s character was suitably badass, the CGI gorilla (and other creatures) looked pretty sweet, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was channeling his inner Negan and made me want to know more about what his OGA handled.
The various mercs got in some good lines before ending up as mercs do in these movies, and the main baddies were suitably campy.
Wasn’t much into the leading lady but you can’t have everything!

^ I honestly didn't expect to enjoy Rampage as much as I did. It was a lot of fun.

IT Chapter Two. Disappointing, tbh.

I haven’t watched IT (part 2) yet, but unless they totally go off script I can’t imagine it being too bad? The original managed to pull it off, cheesy spider and all.

What didn’t you like about it?

Cool. Yeah, his writing tends to sort of put his stamp on things.

Yeah, it was surprisingly fun in a big, dumb sort of way. I've been planning to watch it again because I got the 4k bluray. 👆

Well now we have two movies in common!

Any more, and ppl will start to talk...✅

Without being too spoilery, I felt like it focused more on jump scares and laughs than actual tension.

^^^Oh, well that’s not necessary. It (the old movie) already had enough of those. The building tension in between was the good part.

OVERLORD.
For all it’s faults and historical inaccuracies, I do love me a good evil Nazi plot movie. I can’t believe kick ass Corporal Ford is the same hippie dippie guy in the LODGE 49 television show.
When he was announced as having been cast to play US Agent in the upcoming FALCON & THE WINTER SOLDIER show, I’d forgotten he was in OVERLORD and was really surprised they’d chosen him.
But yeah, based on OVERLORD, I can see him as a renegade Captain America type.

It just fell kind of flat for me. Which is sad because I really enjoyed the first one. I remember loving the book, and I even enjoyed the tv-movie back in the day.

Charlie's Angels (2000s) - Silly but fun movie.

^^^CHARLIE’S ANGELS was the bomb!
I didnt enjoy the sequel as much. It seemed...underwhelming.

I still wanna see IT Part II, but i’m going to keep this conversation in mind as I do, now.

My friend and I discuss that movie...

Pet Sematary (2019)

It was okay. A little bit unintentionally funny at times, but just the nature of the premise, I guess. I at least give it credit for not using a bunch of CGI. They kept it pretty practical.

I’m checking this out as I make breakfast; thanks!

Escape Plan 2

It was awful. Didn't really make it past the first 20 min or so. Don't waste your time.

^^^that one looked like a stinker.

SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2.
It wasn’t as fun as the first one, but I still liked it, and laughed quite a few times.
