I'm glad to hear this movie is good. They're finally making reboots worth watching 😄

Finally watched two movies from 1999 I've known about but never seen: Election (Alexander Payne, with Matthew Broderick and Resse Witherspoon) and Buena Vista Social Club (Wim Wenders, musical documentary) Both Criterion rentals from what may be the last video store in the city.
I haven't seen Election since I was a kid. It was hilarious social commentary

Yup, I saw that too. It's fun. To me the wardrobe or something was off. It didn't seem like they were really slobby washed up wannabe rock stars like they were supposed to be. Maybe Keanu needed to keep the beard and just wear t-shirts or something. He wasn't believable this time, ha... which is actually kind of funny.
But yeah, it's got some trippy shit and amusing dialogue. The scenes with the marriage counselor were particularly funny to me. 😂
I re-watched The Shallows (2016) because why not look at Blake Lively again for 90 minutes. Plus I like me some shark flicks, and it's a pretty solid one actually. And watching some of the special features gave me even more respect for the filmmaking. It's impressive AF. The cinematography is pretty spectacular.
