Halloween (2007)
The Rob Zombie remake. It's not bad for a modern remake, if you can take the shaky cam and over-the-top stuff. I think some of the characters should have been a little more likable, though. Zombie's characters tend to be written in such a way as to be kind of annoying, and so you don't really care if they get slashed to death or not. But the beginnning of the film with young Michael Myers is good grounding for the character. I don't remember that stuff being very detailed in the original. I plan to watch his sequel Halloween II soon, also.
