Rob Roy (1995)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114287/

Director - Michael Caton-Jones
Stars - Liam Neeson, Jessica Lange, John Hurt, Tim Roth, Brian Cox

In 1713 Scotland, Rob Roy MacGregor is wronged by a nobleman and his nephew, becomes an outlaw in search of revenge while fleeing the Redcoats, and faces charges of being a Jacobite.

An old favorite of mine, watch it every 3-5 years or so. Tim Roth plays a great love-to-hate villain, such a piece of shit.

^^^Roth was great in that, yes. 👆

I thought I remembered seeing a movie called Rob Roy back when Netflix sent you a DVD disc, but I remembered it being on a boat and having Jeff Bridges, The Dude.

Oh, shit, I'm thinking of this...

I don't know why I mixed it up with Rob Roy... I'm not sure if I've seen that or not.

Okay..

Yeah, I definitely haven't seen Rob Roy. I guess I should? Good cast. I've never heard of the director, though.

^^^Never really got into these movies.
They weren’t bad by any means, but for me they’re eatch once and done.

You know, drug cartel stuff isn't typically my thing either, which is why I didn't think much of it when it came out. But Denis Villeneuve is just a master filmmaker and makes it compelling, and then the sequel carried that on pretty well despite not having Villeneuve anymore.

BEOWULF 2007

Great adaptation, very fun!

The animated one? Yeah, I like that one, too. Sort of a guilty pleasure, I guess.

Robocop (1987)

God, I hadn't seen it since I was a kid, so I barely remembered it. God Bless Paul Verhoeven. Is it a little dated? Sure... but goddamn if it isn't still a blast!

Lame as always. /\

Tubi movie, About Hope 2023

Justin Ray and Adrian Paul look like the same person.

^^^They were way better than other movies w. the same premise!

Typical response from a zoomer.

Rocky Road.

5/10

Mark Salling reminds me of someone? 🤔 Hmmm.

Alpha (2018)

No, it's not about alpha-male manosphere morons like Andrew Tate and Tim Pool, etc. It's about prehistoric humans surviving with man's best friend. Re-watch. It's a highly underrated little film. I rather like it, mainly for the setting. I'm not even a dog person and I find it very touching (I guess I am an animal person, though)

Immaculate (2024)

Pretty stellar nunsploitation film with Sydney Sweeney who fucking rocks it. Her performance is mesmerizing.

Damsel (2024)

Pretty fun to watch Millie Bobby Brown. The movie is visually impressive, but is also a little silly with a talking dragon.

GHOSTBUSTERS FROZEN EMPIRE

I can see why it’s getting bad reviews, but it entertained me and I’ll watch it again for sure.

The exact same movie critics that gave the 2016 movie a higher rating, Says alot.

I’ve said it before, I haven’t put much stock in movie reviews since way back in the days of Siskel & Ebert.

I didn’t always agree w. them but, they didn’t go into movies w. the pre-set agendas today’s critics all seem to have.

Damsel like patiently said it was decent as a little silly, Millie Bobby Brown looks really good but isn't that great of an actor in my opinion. Literally every role she's in she just screams at stuff
