I watched, "I Madman on Tubi. It was good 😊 7/10

"The Estate"

This was a dramatic thriller comedy. Very stupid, yet surprisingly funny. It's madness only grew as the movie progressed. Entertaining movie. 10/10

I watched a lot of movies because I was sick this past week with the flu...

Red Rocket (2021)

Venom: The Last Dance (2024)

Conspiracy (2001)

Deepwater Horizon (2016)

Watched with the kids...

The Wild Robot

And watched with the wife...

Dune: Prophecy

Kraven The Hunter (2024)

Pretty bad. But I would say it's at least got some entertaining value in its badness.

Barton Fink (1991)

Just kind of randomly watched this because it's the Coen Bros. I don't really know what the hell I watched.

A Quiet Place: Day One

The story is thinning out, but it is quite an effective film, shot mostly in London rather than New York City. At one point the two main characters are running away from Canary Wharf underground, but it doesn't matter. The visuals are great for a film about the world in melt down. Then there is the cat they used that doesn't meow. Not a bad watch, a competent performance from Lupita Nyong'o. ***/5

Wicked (2024)

Surprised I actually liked it. Of course I could have gone for less singing, but it's otherwise pretty fun and engaging.

THE SUBSTANCE (2024)

Re-watch. Man, it was just a few months ago that I watched it, but the movie is so bonkers I am surprised I forgot about how much of it played out. It's so good, and it's hilarious watching the last act and knowing "this is a Best Picture nominee." 😂

The Bikeriders - 7/10

not sure about 8/10's what some critics gave it.

Oh yeah, I was generous and gave it 6/10. It was mediocre.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera (2024)

I liked it. In some ways it might actually be better than the first one.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3

jo

😮

Venom The Last Dance-hated it. The humor and story was garbage.

The Electric State- thought it was ok I guess. Trailer gave me an Animatrix vibe thinking it was gonna show a brutal robot war but it didn't.

The Electric State. I'd give it a 7/10

The Crow (2024) 7/10

didn't dislike the movie like most people on the internet

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, 2nd time watching it

i still like it.

I watched it, too. I think the secret was watching it with my kids. Made it more enjoyable. Otherwise it's super mediocre.

Death of a Unicorn.

Great cast. Some great performances (Will Poulter and Richard E. Grant in particular)

Some of the humour landed for my taste but most of it didn't but my mate loved it. Whether you like it will depend on how you like your black comedy.

^ might check that out at some point.

The Monkey (2025)

I want to like Osgood Perkins. I really do. But he needs to bring in another writer. He's trying too hard to be like Tarantino with this one, "Written and Directed by:" He even uses music and titles similar to Tarantino with this one. 5-6/10.

a Minecraft movie (2025)

I got sucked in to see it with my family. My son loves Minecraft, so for that reason it wasn't entirely unbearable because I know he was enjoying it. But it's really... not great. Luckily I kind of like Jack Black even if he probably is a terrible sellout. There's definitely some laughs that I wasn't expecting, but otherwise it's pretty generic corporate boardroom silliness. I guess it's about on par with The Super Mario Bros movie. I knew it was a bad sign when I saw like 5 or 6 different writers. Also, I was in the very front row which is like my worst nightmare... lol..

I was so disappointed in The Monkey, I enjoyed Longlegs a lot, so I went into this one with high expectations, but honestly I kind of flat out hated it.
