I was so disappointed in The Monkey, I enjoyed Longlegs a lot, so I went into this one with high expectations, but honestly I kind of flat out hated it.

Yeah, I liked Longlegs a lot more. It felt more original even though it, too, could have been improved with another writer. But sometimes simpler is better and it may have actually been better for it. Nic Cage's unique performance helped it, too, for sure. The Monkey just was super mediocre and meandering writing. I was expecting it to circle back around to the beginning because that would have been cool, or at least have Elijah Wood's character become more important and beef up the 3rd act, but nope. We just got the twin again, which really wasn't interesting.

Osgood Perkins is talented in a lot of ways, for sure. Visually and even with some storytelling and getting some good performances from actors, but he's going to need some better writing. I liked the first act pretty well, but the 2nd and 3rd didn't do much for me.

^^^I did this too, before watching Thunderbolts*.

I actually stopped partway throw this back in 2021, as i found it boring. WTF i was thinking i’ve no idea. It was a fun movie!

Yeah, I probably should have re-watched it before seeing Thunderbolts, but it didn't matter too much.

What's the timeline exactly, does Black Widow take place between Captain American 1 & 2? Or I guess it takes place after Captain America 2?

^^^I think so, yeah; that seems right!

The Wild Robot with the kid. I thought it was pretty damn good.

^^^Yeah, i liked it. 👆

Theater

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025)

Was better than the last film, but not better than 1, 3,4,5 & 6. Bit of a shame, as after a great start and then the turd-burger that was 2, these were great again until 6. Last two entries were just okay.

and then the turd-burger that was 2,

Seen alot of people on saying the 2nd movie is one of the best all a sudden, They need to get their heads of the cloud.
