They can't be planning to killy ou though, as some of you seem to be worrying. What would they do next, pretend you all tripped over and choked to death? They'd destroy themselves, trying to pull something like that. Besides, you sense no danger.

In fact, you sense not much worry at all. These people aren't like the Neimodians, who are a continuous wash of strong emotion. Seems that kind of thing is disapproved of. Even so... it doesn't seem as if they fear you are about to rip aside their facade and prove their nefarious doings to the Galaxy.

Nor do they seem surprised or worried you are here.

Xeth, you feel particularly uncomfortable. Something about the way this has all slotted into place like this... you almost feel like you are reading a book, rather than leading an investigation.

Cannes picked particular demonstrations to show you people. He specifically pointed out certain things for you to see. Your brain is telling you that these things werw all relevant... maybe you should look over them again. And remember some of the earliest notes from your case.

The part of your case you cannot get a handle on, Xeth... is WHY did they want Nesere? There must be a hundred talented scientists they can make contracts for at any one time- why make so much effort and risk with this one?
