To jump on one without crashing is pretty much impossible; too small and too fast. Besides which, the interface is designed for the droids.
Please pay attention, Gallagher, you are not under fire. Combat Pushing STAPs is totally ineffectual, btw.
Ok, let's start up here... sticking speed roll at 4 for now, btw.

Let's get going.
Gallagher notices that the STAPs have not taken notice of himself and Jelena at the top of the cliff, the dozen of the flying machines heading instead for their companions cliffside.
"We need to help them," Gallagher tells Jelena. "Otherwise they are going to be shot down."
Gallagher makes his way to the canyon's edge, looking around for some heavy rocks...
Base as in base of the canyon. It is a 15 frame climb, btw.
Jumping never helps you climb; you cannot get a firm foothold on a vertical surface by jumping. And if you leap off the cliff to Flying Charge a STAP, you will obviously drop downwards again, so you will need Fall and then to start climbing again.
I already said, Combat Push has no efect on STAPs. ou would just make them veer very slightly to one side.
Ok, waiting on actions!
