Galder rolls... +4! A 33... victory!
The machine gives a rather disappointing victory beep. A gobsmacked owner walks, zombie-like, over to the machine, and removes the money from a compartment inside it, silently.
There is a puse of about fifteen seconds.
And then...
"You see, everyone? You see how EASY it is to win... ten THOUSAND credits? Come, everyone, and play Gambit, the machine of your dreams!"
Having seen how easy it is, dozens of people are now crowding forwards to play, as the owner works out if he can actually turn a profit out of this...
"Step right up, people!" Galder also advertises, smiling brightly as he receives his money. "Think you've got some fast drawing skills? Show 'em off! Flaunt them for money!"
Suckers... Galder thinks to himself, before handing the money over to Rand.
"Only spend what we need to..." Galder tells him. "I'd like to keep what's left..."
(Rianna better Galder off that 'to kill for not finding out about security' list because you just got your key!)
Rand supresses a laugh when several other, less skilled people line up to play a game that will most likely fry them.
"Well done, my pupil..." Rand says, taking the money and weighing it in his hand. "No worries, I will return what I don't use..."
Not... Rand thinks, fecetiously grinning as he goes to find a crystallographer to make the key copy...
(Do I have to wait for Rianna to return or...?)
Ok, saving time now... Rand can find the crystalographer to get the key copied. You have enough money left over to buy any relevant criminal gear you want for the snatch- there was going to be a more in-depth haggling acene for all this, but we've no time.
This now leaves Rianna to get the gumf from upstairs, and Tanic and Takuan to get what they can from the library. Snatch starts this weekend (same time as the Light Side interlude starts) at the latest!

"Fine. Do you want me admit it, to say it out loud? I can't stand how everyone else's mistakes manage to totally screw things up and more often then not get ME in trouble. Rand is at best a mediocre leader, and at times makes me wonder why I even joined up with him in the first place. Twice only very recently has Tanic totally screwed up and I had to rescue him, if not for the fact that we need him to pilot his ship I wouldn't have bothered. Especially since the second time, I told him PRECISELY what we should have done, he ignored me to do his own thing, and nearly got ME killed while doing it! And Galder really needs to learn to not always show off! If he hadn't had to show off and use the Force in that fight, he wouldn't have gotten caught, and Jena wouldn't know that we're Force users. And if she had never found out, I wouldn't have to be up here to steal the data crystal! It's Galder's fault that we're even in this mess and I'm up here, getting completely and totally frustrated! Tanic and Rah said something about helping me up here by sneaking me up while they went up with the librarians, but nothing came to that, they'd have rather continued talking about that stupid tablet instead of helping me figure out a way to actually get up there! Gallador at least managed to get some info, but I have no idea how to even FIND these schematics! How am I to know what they look like? Hell, I don't even exactly know what the crystal looks like! I don't even know what the others are doing right now while I'm up here, but I will not be surprised in the least if someone does something idiotic. So there, you got me to say it: I can't stand the idea of how one of THEM screwing something up can harm me; I positively HATE the fact that they don't listen to me! And you know what else? Right now, other than making threats to the, there's not much I CAN do to MAKE them listen! What should I do, fight them? Hah! Yeah, I'd probably be able to take any of them in a saber fight, except possibly Galder. But they all, except Galder, are much better with using the Force than I am, and would use that to their advantage! As it stands I wouldn't stand a chance! The only thing I could possibly do right now is refuse to help out by doing any sneaking around and stealing unless they decide to listen to me....and even THAT might not work, because they could just get Rah to do it! So yes, I am VERY frustrated with this group much of the time! And YOU, constantly antagonizing me while I'm trying to concentrate here! If not for the fact that I have limited time and can't get caught, I'd have gotten rid of you a long while ago. But I'm sure a body lying in Mika's office might just get spotted! But good job, now you've pushed me to the point where I'm mad enough to kill the next random person I see, and to hell with the consequences!!!"

Lying two feet in front of your vision is a data crystal, fallen from the desk above, rolled into a slip of paper where you could not otherwise see it.
