damn....i need to find out soemthing about those security systems. however..i feel we're not approaching this the right way.....we have to think ocean's eleven here 😛
the system is designed so as not to be beaten by direct interraction..

an idea would be to trigger the alarm on purpose.....and then use the commotion to grab it. now i don't know if that's feasible with our stealthy departure.....we could just LIE our way out of it.....it's..extreme...but i can'tt hink of a way to work through the security..we have to bypass it.

Somehow I doubt our escape will be very stealthy...

But yes, since the passages will all seal off if the alarms go off, you guys should still hold the stairs for me to get down if I have to. Because it would be bad if the passages were to seal off and I'd have to fight my way down the stairs by myself.

And it would be bad if Tanic was in one of the passages directing things and the alarm went off - hence my attempt to find the security control room - if we put someone, say Galder, in there, to kill everyone and shut the alarms off when they come on, then we should do okay...

Plus he has fix-it, not just extreme violence.

Galder might be able to take out the control room, but not to unseal the passages. You'd need technical schematics for the building to do that, which none of you looked for, unless someone has a HUGE fix-it skill.

Your plan is a good way to get fried by the plasma, Takuan! Stealing that thing is a delicate operation.

Still, all preparation halted, for the time is now. I need to know who is doing what, where everyone is going to be, any ANY plans and/or contingencies. Anything not listed, you are not doing or did not do. I'll give an absolute maximum of two days on this before Rianna goes in. Everyone is now returned to where their security classification allows. The brief look at the secret passages allows you to bypass the stairs but not to simply enter secure areas.

Things to remember:

1. Means of approach and entry

2. Means of bypassing security

3. Means of getting the tablet

4. Means of escape from the heist

5. Means of escape from the Citadel

You can't take them out! And those are construction diagrams, not technical schematics.

Getting fried by plasma is not high up on my list of things I'd like to do...

Well, I'd like to at least use the secret passages to get up there. I'll have my copy of the key so I can get into secure areas. Maybe if we can get Tanic or someone up into one of the security control rooms he could watch the cameras and tell me where people are, where it's safe, etc. Tanic's going to walk me through disabling the trap, so then I should be able to touch the tablets to tell which one is the real one and which are the fakes (since you said a few pages back that the fakes react slower). If the alarms haven't been tripped by then I'd like to use the passages to get back down, but if there's any hint that there could be trouble, screw the passages, I don't want them sealing closed while I'm in them. If I do have to take the stairs down, you guys need to cover them because then we'll be fighting our way out. Escaping the Citadel...well, Galder better have those bombs disabled. If Takuan or Gallador could talk Yago into having his men create a commotion while I'm on my way down that'd be great, distract some of the guards.

If anyone has anything to add, go ahead. It's a very basic idea so feel free to detail it out or change it to make it more workable; that's what I've got at the moment, though.

BTW -- would those vault schematics I swiped say anything on it about which tablet is the real one? Like, if it's in a specific place in the vault?

Absolutely none. Also nothing on the plasma trap there- so that cannot be de-activated without high Fix-it of someone there. Therefore, touch is out.

Secondly, VERY risky for Tanic to go to a security room. He would have to kill everyone there, and if the sligtest thing went wrong the alarm will go off BEFORE the snatch, which will simply undo all your work.

What DO the vault schematics have on them?

i still have to see what i can find on how you can tell that tablet appart.
i assume the writting doesn't show if you use the force on it from the distance.....is it mandatory for the subject to touch it, for the writing to show?

The vault schematics have all the standard hi-tech and Indiana Jones style security that stops you getting to the Tablet. That it omits the plasma trap is likely deliberate, as it would seem that it is that trap which catches would-be thieves out. Tanic can use it to remotely tell you how to disable those traps.

In your experience, Takuan, yes. Via whatever means, the original tablets must be midi-chlorian sensitve as well, just not in a discernable way.

Okay. So main thing we've got to figure out is how to differentiate the real tablet from the fakes. Because guess what, I don't feel much like dying doing this.

Simply using the Force to sense which one it is probably wouldn't work, just for the simple fact that Rianna's not good enough with the Force to do something like that. Hmm....

And even if you were, as Takuan can tell you, those tablets are rather force-fuzzy. Your powers are liable to be confused by them. The Sith were very good at that.
