Tanic pulls his remaining pistol (Helkin's still got the other one!) and moves his lightsabre to his offhand.
He murmurs to Galder,
"Four each, then?"

Moving toward the security, he starts firing at them.

"Sounds like a decent plan, if you can keep up," Galder says with a nasty grin.

Galder will move towards the guards, using Defend for defense seeing as they will fire before he attacks, and then Twirl and Cleave.

Rand will move as quickly as he can to cross the great hall, using Throw to bring tables or chairs or whatever there is about him down onto three thugs.

Me having CoC level 4 will come very in handy here....and yay! Less damage! No neurodamage!

Rianna attacks at the 2 nearest enforcers with her lightsaber, and then will use Defend for defense, as well as 1 Riposte.

(you guys should have gotten upstairs EARLIER....doesn't anyone remember me saying that I wanted everyone but Galder and Tanic holding the stairs so I could help get out?!)

Okidokey then! Just for a bad start, Rianna actually misses her first attack and has to use one of her re-rolls. Still there are soon two dead bodies!

Hate to tell you this, Rianna, but without some means of forcibily getting amongst them, these guys aren't going to get near you if they can help it, so Riposte won't help.

Rand, -2 to hit trying to Throw on the move, and I will make that four frames for two frames moved. Just the one kill, I am afraid!

Takuan makes an imperfect roll but still gets a kill.

Same -2 to hit 4/2 frames/move split for you, Tanic.

Ok, bad guys fire. Only Rianna and Galder are making effort to Defend. Nice even split of attacks here.

Today's bullet magnet is Rand, who has a +9 rolled against him for an 18, a hit by three, for nine damage.

Tanic then blasts a guard down on the run, and Galder closes in.

Takuan will use reflection on incoming attacks....defend on the rest..if there are more than 2

Ok then! Another kill for Rianna.

And good rolling for Takuan (who unlike the Acolyte, is actually rather good at Force combat) gives him two kills! Mind you, may as well have used the Push.

Ok, more bad guys!

I have a hit on Tanic, for four damage.

Takuan's first bounce is a little off, but the second one kills!

I have moved Gallador up.

Another kill for Rianna... this not going as fast as you might want, Lana!

Galder leaps neatly onto the stairs and twirls his sabres, exhilarating in the release of combat. -3 and -3 aren't his best rolls ever, but they are still enough for his kills (no cleave though).

Tanic closes in, blasting away. +3 drops another foe.

Bad guys! All miss. Boo.

Perhaps you may wish to change your tactic? Minus your riposte trick you will be all day fighting through the security here solo.

Yeah....scratch that, I'm moving up so that I'm among them so that I can use Riposte against any attacks.

I also need to stay ahead of them in frames so I can do my fun double attack thing...

Looking at the Maths of that, if they take three frames per attack, then if you attack at two frames and defend for one frame, that means you are keeping pace and hence will never go ahead.

If you also Riposte, that means you actively go BEHIND them.

They'll move away if you move forward!
