USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE II (DARK SIDE)- In the Coils of the Serpent

Started by Lord Melkor215 pages

Hmm, it seems that Strike and Blow powers are useless for my character. Are higher powers of the tree: Riposte, Flurry, Combination, worth it?

I don't want to spoil us making good time, so I will move things on- also to cut you guys a break, Rand can perform the double-strike, Rivalry powered, that powers out his Pain pool. Galder, meanwhile,. downs two guards with a twirl.

-

"Even now, you fail me, Galder," says Kuylen. "And you never ask why."

"A true battle for a leader, eh?" says Doon, as you race to your ship, Rand. "Pompous, priggish, arrogant, and blind with obsession to the last."

"The pain must be sending you insane," says Helkin, as your feet cut open on the razor-sharp ground of this wasteland, Rianna. Battle droids round the corner, hunting you down. "I mean.. you got this TOTALLY wrong..."

You seem to have just spent frames plunging your sabre into a remarkably jagged piece of rock, Rianna, as the droids arrive. There is something here you are looking for, must find it... or is it someONE? Or both?

Gallador, your control has slipped, as you are lost in a world of possibilities, whilst Tanic gets another horrible feeling of deja vu as the ship's engines power up.

Riposte is VERY useful when you're fighting enemies within melee range, I put it to good use when we were fighting Osokans. Blow is only good when you're not using the saber....I just used Combination and it worked pretty damn well.

I didn't bother with Strike because I already attack for 2 frames normally without snapping 😛

Only on Mooks!

Why useless, Gallador?

Yeesh, Tanic's tripping again.

I have no idea what I'm doing!

Tanic checks through all the sensor reports, making sure nothing has changed.

Everything is green, just as it always was.

Festival of Carnage eliminates need for Strike, right?

And why Blow if you use Lightsabers?

I remember switching forward between those powers and Demagogue/Insight at character creation, not sure if my choice was right.

Can I be a good fighter just with Darkside tree and Living Force?

Will the ship be fine if I leave it powered up?

Tanic goes to check on Rah, and then speaks into his communicator,
"Hello? Galder? Rianna? What's going on?"

Carnival of Carnage only works against Mooks.

And yes, Blow is no good with a Sabre, but then it is a low down power and it does have its uses- Unarmed/non-sabre melee does certainly occur.

Yo can be dangerous... but you will find the Martial powers indisputably useful.

Oh, no-one used Sidestep in this fight- shame; guaranteed the survival of the Kight Side.

Oh, and what`s up with my character now? It seems that he has used dark emotions too much and is trapped in visions of power and slaughter?

Tanic heads to the ramp from the ship and checks to make sure there is no guards or people tampering with the ship present. Unless of course he gets a strong feeling not to.

Rah is laughing at something, Tanic. He seems pretty out of it.

No-one else is daring to come down here, to be honest- though a flipped--out looking Gallador is heading this way.

Well Tanic gets back to the usual routine of preparing for take-off. Without actually taking off.

Gallador brings Takuan aboard. Gallador, your mindset clears as you board the ship, but Tanic is babbling about some revenge mission of his.

"She's dead, Gallador. I finally killed the *****," Tanic tells him, "How went your fight?"

Gallador seems extremally tired and injured, but also full of confidence.

"We killed many of them, and i learned much about the true power of the Darkside, that Jedi fear..... to master your inner demons is the path to unlimited power."- he smiles darkly

"But wait, have you killed Jenna?"

Tanic laughs,
"Not her, you fool. I finally killed Yiu, the murderer. Her empire is now mine, as she knew it would be. I shall control my own puppets on the throne of Pity, yet always I can call on its resources. Now I may exact the justice denied me before. All will suffer for the killing of Crystal!"

(Wow, we really have lost it...)

"Then I implore you, why?" Galder asks to voice of Kuylen. As he approaches Lieutenant Gar'Veran and the five Zeitonian troops, with swings through two of them with ease with Twirl.

(I hope the frames are fluked...)

Gallador slaps Tanic in the face:

"You are the one who behaves like a fool and pathetic weakling! We fight for survival here! If you let those visions, those hallucinations, control you, you are going to die here! And I will gladly let it happen!

Now, shouldn`t we help Rand and Galder? I sense they are still fighting!"

Tanic turns to face the man, his voice low and angry, yet controlled still,
"Go then, weakling. Flee to fight for your friends under the illusion of nobility. You are of no use to me here, yet you returned, fleeing the battle. Unless you too have been overcome by the drug? No? Well then, go and fight, but never touch me again, unless you wish to lose a hand."
He moves to leave, but comments over his shoulder,
"Oh, and if you were to leave me behind, you'd lose a valuble ally. Something the otherswould not appreciate, I believe."

(Awesome - the true spirit of the Dark Side! Melkor, Tanic's staying cos he needs to prepare the ship... At least that's what I'm getting from my visions, I think!)
