Don`t worry, I enjoy saving helpless ladies from danger!
....you may want to rethink ever referring to Rianna as helpless again....
If there wasn't a bunch of pissed-off pigs in the way, then I'd have no problem, but as it stands, with impairment and all and the distance I have to cover, it could be a little bit problematic.
Pistol napper!
In fact, you can retrieve Tanic's one.
And with Helkin and Vargas dead, it is time to go. I don't need to play out you guys jumping aboard ship, I'll take it as read.
You are leaving this planet WAY behind. With Helkin and Vargas dead, few Osokans have much of an idea who you are, and you don't know how much Doon told the Bureau but you doubt it was that much.
With the transmitter down... well, they'll have your transponder, so this ship will have to go. But that it will be Id'ed as a Serpent ship works in your favour as to them not knowing who you are. But they won't be able to broadcast that id out until you are way away.
They might put it all together, of course. But never in time to get you. So long as you stay out of the Republic, you are safe.
Galder, in pain, can see Kuylen again, who is now holding up two fingers (not rudely)
"Two..." he says.
That's what I wanted... My own pistol 😛
So where are we headed now, guys? Or is that the end of the episode?
Tanic moves up to Rianna, and asks her,
"Perhaps I could reclaim the pistol I left that poor fool with last time we met?" Tanic extends a hand, "I'll see to your wounds, should you wish. The look on his face was priceless. What did he say to you?"
Gallador`s mood doesn`t seem much better after killing Helkin.
"So what now? We are still a bunch of renegades with no future! If we establish a power base in Republic, Jedi and Bureau would learn about it, sooner or later! They are not foolish enough to undestimate our Power, our Potential, without the limitations of Jedi! Only logical choice seems to lie in leaving Republic, to create a new Order in the chaotic realms of Outer Rim and Unknown Regions!
But first, there is one thing to do.... this Doon made a fool of us! Shall we seek revenge? It might not be a wise course of action... but I would love to give them a nice wedding gift!" -Gallador smiles bitterly.
The Plane Tarsonis
Five Years Ago
Saar walked back to the ship, where Kuylen was studying computerised records.
"There, it's done," he said. "Scorpio is gone. Now let's get out of here."
"I have work to do first."
"It can wait; let's go!"
Kuylen raised his eyes to look at Saar, feeling, as ever, anxiety from him.
"Why so keen to leave? Wildlife got the better of you?"
"I've just threatened the number two man in the Serpent; who knows what irrational thing he may try?"
"Highly unlikely."
"The Serpent is a perfidious organisation, Kuylen. We can't imagine how they might have turned this into a set-up."
"They'd use us rather than kill us."
"That does NOT make me feel any better!"
"It should. Hutts WOULD kill you. They are that irrational. That I fear. But the Serpent ties itself up in knots, and it is precisely because of that that we have nothing to fear. Doon won't have made this official business; he likes to make his own cut on his exotic dealings. Furthermore, he won't want the rest of the organisation to know about US."
"Yes, because he wants to use us in some damn scheme of his!"
"He will try. It's not important. I have other things to worry about.
"Not important? Kuylen, I..."
"Have you ever heard of an area of space called the Damagran Confederacy?"
Saar was nonplussed for a moment.
"Some political collective out in the sticks. Taste for elegeant architecture; continuously complains about a lack of a Republican-wide anti piracy programme. Why?"
"There might be something of interest there. I'll need to run this one by Ascar."
"Count me out t. I don't trust information from Doon and even less from Ascar."
"I am sure I will find something to do. I'll prep for lift off."
Kuylen rose and headed for the pilot seat.
"Kuylen!"
"What?"
"What about Doon?"
"What about him?"
Saar gave a noise of exasperation.
"What if he tries something?"
"After the shock you just gave him? Don't be silly."
"But what about the others? They're idiots, they don't have a chance of working him out."
"Saar, you worry too much. Sometimes you should just learn to ride the wave of where the Galaxy takes you."
"It's not good enough."
"Listen, Saar. I sense... that if Doon ever does try anything on one of us... it will be one of us that kills him. Call in the others. We're leaving."
EPIREUS BASE
Several weeks later
"You know," said Doon, as he watched the ship streak overhead, "my mother always told me never to mess with a man with a beard."
"More people should listen to their Mothers," said Jena. "Typical man..."
"Too much to hope that the fixed defences will bring them down, I suppose," said Doon.
"They're not quite so stupid as to try and land in the defence zone," said Jena.
"I blame the Republic for this. New wave of efficiency and law enforcement... big pile of poodoo more like. I bet Siva never had this trouble. The Jedi were reliable. The Bureau doesn't shape up."
"All down to the Force, I guess. The Jedi could fight that fire with fire. The Bureau is just a bunch of suits and pigs."
"You'd think Helkin could have adapted. Typical; he gets far too close to killing them on Demarus and then buggers it all up on Kuoni. I shall write a complaint. And no-one even let me know!"
"We could leave," said Jena.
"Gah! Even if that wasn't the finish of my career it won't solve anything. We settle it now or they'll settle us sometime. They are TOTALLY irrational people, they'll never let it go. It's not just the betrayal; they'll want to re-write history about being tricked."
"Their simple-minded focus is one thing to admire about them, I suppose," said Jena.
"The way they eat small armies for breakfast is what does it for me," said Doon. "Ah well, You know what they say. If you want to get a job done, shoot dead the man in grey and do the damn thing yourself..."
"One less man to worry about then."
"You're a charming lady, Jena, that must be why I like you so much. Activate the defences and get all the goons out there to do what they can.
Oh... and make sure you get as many Epireans between us and them as possible. About time they pulled their weight..."
Epireus base is atop a high mountain.
Of course, that suits you just fine, because frankly, the air here is painful to breathe. The higher you get, the better you feel.
You aren't going to complicate here. You are having to go on foot because you couldn't land close to the base. So now you will make your way up to the base, break in, and kill every damn thing you see.
Sometimes simple plans are the best.
You are starting in the foothills. There is a lot of activity around, and we are going to focus on different parts of the battle at a time. Whilst Rand and Galder deal with the first wave of troops that Doon sent out, we find the others coming across a distinct sign of civilisation...

Amidst the stone houses of the Epireans stand their warriors. Evolving in a high pressure planet, apparently in a rather direct way, leaaves them as seven foot tall ugly ogre-like creatures, with a fearsome roar they let off as they square off against you with their...
... axes?
Bronze axes?
Ok, technology obviously not a going concern here. Still, an axe in the head from one of them is going to be pretty mean, and they aren't so clumsy that they can't shoot an arrow.
