USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE II (DARK SIDE)- In the Coils of the Serpent

What are you talking about! You can clearly see that it says 'Epirean Warriors x20 - 0/Ush'

heh...bronze axes. master throw at two of the warriors.

one good thing about arrows is you cannot deflect them 😛

Yes, to be clear, Reflection does bugger all to arrows. Other sabre defence powers work fine, on the idea you hack the arrows out the air instead.

It seems the Epireans this near to the Base have been set against you- Doon must be using them to help defend himself.

Sorry for the lack of frames; they were on 10 so everyone could act. They are strong but not fast.

In you guys go! I am calling it a three-frame run in to get to them.

Takuan goes for a Master Throw! One bad roll sees the rock you throw go nowhere, the other is a direct hit and kill. Combat Push would have done you just as well, in fact, as these guys are all mooks...

... but it must be said, what Takuan just did scared the shit out of them.

Ok! These guys are going to strike back. Primitive they may be, but they are built for fighting. Well, skill 7 isn;t great (and it's not as if those archers get a burst fire bonus), but they are Strength 9 and those axes are way larger than normal human axes, being Strength +5 weapons, they can hit pretty hard. Let's see what happens.

And so a swirling melee begins, your hi-tech sabres versus their axes of doom! And just to be a pain, it is Gallador who gets hit, for nine damage. I'll assume he Pains that.

All the archers fire at Takuan, to be vindictive. None hit their mark.

Tanic hacks done down, whilst Rianna hacks three down without thinking about it... they are pretty big guys, but unlike Osokans, they die when you sabre them. Hardly a criticism as that is the same for about 99% of life forms.

Gallador is hit again! Mind you, he is always the most likely to be hit. I've put the Pain use in; he'll want to blow force like mad now. Even if he still has a couple of points left by the end of the sequence it will still have been better than taking the hit.

Situation at: First Sequence, Frame 6

Epirean Village

Rianna: 8/0/5
Tanic: 10/0/3
Takuan: 8/0/6
Gallador: 10 (11)/0/6

Epirean Warriors x15: 0/7

Epirean Archers x5: 0/7

If you guys just give me generic attack/defence plans, I can actually quickly rattle through the whole sequence as you slaughter these guys...

Combat Push, Defend, Normal attack, Defend.

That works out, doesn't it?

I say we leave one alive 😛 To spread word to the others how scary we are.

Actually, there are dozens around; these guys are the warriors of the bunch.

Combat Push how many?

Gallador will use Strenght from Fear, Hatred, and Awe.- He will be an Angel of Death! (suits his appearance)

Hatred locks you into attacks so you can't Awe I am afraid. I'll note the SFF when you kill one.

I don`t have powers more effective in killing mooks than Dark Emotions, right?

Well, Staredown is a VERY quick way to blow force, but you can't have it and Emotions.

Actually, whilst Emroions is effective against Mooks, it is nowhere near as much as, say, Spin. Emotion's true power is turning misses against named characters into hits; nothing else does that.

Okay, so I will use Staredown, experimanting a bit! Can I mix Staredown and Awe?

Yup. So not using Emotions this sequence then?

And how many do you want to Staredown?

How much Force I have from Pain?

Enough for 3 Staredowns and Awe? And i will strike back with my saber.

2 the first time. But if I do another one, 3.

Takuan will force push at three of them, defend, then saber one

A well-rolled Combat Push from Takuan soon drops three foes!

Meanwhile, Gallador blows a rather impresive 16 force points into Staredown and ensures no-one can hit him, as he is scaring the shit out of them.

I actually have a hit on Rianna! Eight damage.

Rianna kills another...

... and then a hit on Tanic, for 7!

Tanic has a bad second roll an only takes out one, ans Takuan closes on the Archers, and Rianna kills three more before the sequence is out. Gallador has time for a kill also.

New sequence... and uh-oh! Looks like the Epireans are doing this hardcore. Many more warriors turn up, as well as four particularly huge ones, wielding enormouns bronze maces!

Epirean Village

Rianna: 10/8/13
Tanic: 12/7/11
Takuan: 14/0/10

Epirean Archers x12: 0/10

Epirean Champions x4: 0/11

master throw with a rock in a champ's head.
defend

Gallador will use Staredown on 2 Champions, while maintaining Awe. Rest of frames go to saber attacks.

Actually, Strenght From Fear has a bit similar effect to those powers, can I mix it?

Snap attacks at one of the warriors and the 3 other champs (not the one that Takuan chucked the rock at), so 4 snapped attacks in total, then Defend.

Basically that'll be what Rianna does throughout this fight....snap attacks on as many opponents as possible and use Defend as defense. Fairly straightforward and effective 🙂

Evens from Takuan is a hit, for eight damage. That one will be coming towards him...

Gallador fears up on Epirean Warriors, then Stares out two Champions, and then Awes up!

Rianna droips a warrior, and with a re-roll rolls +6, +9 and evens on the champs, all hits!

Now a ferocious counter-assault from the Epireans... though only one Champion actually gets a significant attack- one is moving, and two have been locked into auto-misses on Gallador!

Both Gallador and Tanic are hit, though, by good Epirean rolling. Quite nasty!

Bursts of blaster fire emerge from the flanks of the village toeards the archers. Three are blown away.
