(you guys are screwed, and ya kinda blew it....)

"Bring the whip," she says to a flunky, as the seconds tick by. "Quite a big deal really," she says, "as I just said that if you were lying I would flay you alive..."

Meanwhile, Rand...

"He certainly has a way with people, doesn't he?" says Doon.

"And I normally do not like to give away secrets that I'd rather keep," Galder replies. "Flog me to death if you will, but that would completely negate the use I'd be after I heal..."

"You know what?" says Jena. "I am willing to risk that... because I think you would rather live." She glances. "Ten seconds."

She means it, Galder.

Sorry, Rand, but I'd rather live...

"Fine," Galder says. "We are a band of Dark Jedi working for the Empire of Pity!"

"Interesting... and why have you come here?"

"We wanted the money, and the Empire of Pity did not want to waste men that you would probably kill," Galder says.

"That's not answering my question; why were people like you sent? What is your purpose here?"

"I told you, we wanted money so we helped the Empire of Pity out by being their emissaries!"

She nods again, and the power is turned back on.

"Why waste my time with such cretinous lies? Only an infantile fool would expect me to believe they would pay for people of such unique talents as you simply to act as emissaries when they could have sent their own people!"

Galder refuses to cry out as he is electrified.

"Your ancestor...stole...a...valuable...thing..." Galder mutters. "I am...sure...you're aware of...Avalar?"

"Your..." you begin, Galder, and then you start to choke inside the oxygen mask. You can't breathe!

"He seems ready to talk," she says. The power turns off. "You were saying?"

Galder chokes and tries to indicate to Jena that the oxygen mask isn't working, and that he cannot breathe.

Actually, it's working fine, but something seemed to constrict your throat for a moment there. It's stopped now.

Galder clears his throat...knowing that it was a sign he should not have said what he was about to say...

"We are hear seeking high-position jobs at the Serpent," he says. "Something we can profit from, both in wealth and power..."

Lie roll!

Evens. Oh dear. Not your strong suit, Galder.

"Ohh, somehow I don't think it's that innocent," says Jena. She nods... the power is turned back on...

Each lie now requires a willpower roll, Galder, so you had better come up with one that satisifes her quick.

You can take a little time, as I am out of here for the night...

(Oh god I am so screwed...)

Hmm! I was expecting some crazy idea! Well, I shall give you... say... 12 hours from now to come up with something, or you are going to start blurting stuff regardless.

Just to aid you, because I am so nice, your explanation must involve your access to the Yaran root. You can't satisfy Jena that you are Serpent members, as you so blatantly are not and have now involved the whole group also, so your intent is obviously hostile, so you will need a hostile reason that Jena won't mind (outside intervention preventing you from mentioning the tablets, which would have been a deat sentence if the Lantarnans thought you were here to steal those). You then need to justify why you would want to perform this hostile action. You've had a lot of hints about politics in here. It's a bad situation bit... that's because it IS a bad situation, from the moment you used force powers in your arena fight onwards.

I know some of the rest of you are waiting for Rah, but do also please feel free to try stuff; Doon has some more words to have with Rand, but this is very much a story where things only happen to you if you do things. If you don't do things, no happenings, no story... no xp.

christ rex.....i would have told her about the stone? 😬
you do realise that would have basicly been mission failed...

though i WOULD like to find out my midichlorian count 😄

"we have to reach to him" says takuan to rand
"he might compromise the mission. though i suspect we'll soon be intercepted by her men"
