Rand makes sure his lightsaber is securely hidden, pondering what the hell Jena would want him for and expecting the worst.

"Lead the way, gentlemen," Rand says.

"what's coronations?"

"You know, crowning! When a new Lantarnas takes control of the citadel. Siva brought the tablet here as his first act as leader, and so shall all leaders touch the tablet that was the fruit of his exploits, blahhhh, blahhh, blahhhhhhh... so you can forget about seeing it it, it never goes out anywhere."

You are led back up to Jena's office, Rand, as you were here before much earlier. Jena, howeverm says nothing, not looking up at you, simply and quietly doing some paperwork behind her desk, as if you were not worthy of her attention.

"well.. where is it?"

"What difference does THAT make?"

"there are important people out there that begin to doubt you have it! And frankly, they look down upon the serpent. Wouldn't you like to be among the few that helps restore the serpent's name? If you have it...then you should know where it is, i think"

He thinks that over.

"Well, that's pretty dumb of them... well... I mean... I've never actually seen it myself... but of course it's there!"

"where?. your father is doing such a good job of guarding it, that for the people outside the citadel..it's almost non-existant. i can spread the news, and make sure you get the fame for helping me."

"Well that's silly!" he says.

"And dumb, like you said," says one of his associates.

"Huh huh... dumb..."

"Shut up!" says Yago. "I'm trying to think here! Anyway. Well, tell your associates out in the sticks that it is in a sealed chamber at the very top of the citadel, which is death for anyone who tries to enter."

"Nah," he says. "You seeing it won't do that much. Besides, I don't owe him anything! He should come begging to me, not the other way around! I'd have had him the other days, but you saw what happened, he took me by surprise!"
