I sense a lot of these choices are just people who are annoying because a lot that have been mentioned are good actors and actresses.

People like singers , sportpeople /etc shud stick to wat they are good at instead of possibly ruining there career by trying out something else and making them selves look stupid

Cage can act, Adaption? Matchstick Men? Wild At Heart? Leaving Las Vegas? Face/Off? Moon Struck? Red Rock West? Raising Arizona?

Nicolas Cage is a great actor.

Oh one I forgot, Charlie Sheen, he really is terrible. Makes it worse that his dad is a living legend, the acting gene obviously wasn't passed down.

some of the choices people have listed so far are good ones however and that includes Hillary Swank,Jennifer Lopez,Adam Sandler and Sylvester Stallone.a couple others I would like to add to that list are Chris O'donnel and Ben Stiller.Tom Cruise in his early days would have qualified but he has improved immensely over the last 10 years or so.

Back in the day it used to be like a cameo. i don't know, like Eddie Vedder as a gas staion attendant for like 20 seconds. One, I think it compliments there career more for that small role, instead of having to see their face for an hour and a half since you are already getting enough of them being unwillingly shoved down your throat in the music world. Seeing Eminem as a fry cook at hooters, intead of a whole movie about basically him.

Actually, you just pretty much proved that you know nothing, being as everyone you just mentioned apart from possibly Will Smith (who is at best mildly amusing) are bad actors.

Tom Hanks is to this industry what Franz Ferdinand are to rock music. His movies make tons of money, so the producers automatically assume everyone loves him and he gets cast in thousands of movies which then get shoved in our faces through advertising. Who thinks Tom Hanks is good? The Academy, and they have proved so many times how little they know. Give me one, just one example of Tom Hanks completely blowing everyone else off the screen and giving a monumental individual performance (and not Forest Gump, both he and the movie sucked) and I'll admit he's a good actor.
