From the Final Fantasies whose better Tidus or Squall

why only those two? theres a ton of more interesting ff characters, a few i thought were great were mostly from ff3 and ff4, like edgar, sabin, shadow, cyan, cecil, kain, and yang

Those are good characters you named havoc but..they have squat on Tidus

Kenshinswife you have done a horrible job trying to defend Tidus. JKoz does have a point about him being a whiney jock because that's exactly what he IS. Squall is too smart and more concerned with his objectives to complain about everything.

Everyone has issues. Squall was more realistic, you'd expect someone to be more quiet and wise who was from an orphanage. He handled his emotions earnestly. Tidus was abandoned by Jecht ten years ago and wound up hating him, but he remained outgoing and didn't let it bother him. I wouldn't say either of them had serious issues/reactions from it.
