Doom 3 and HalfLife 2

i nearly shit myself the first time one of those zombies crept up on me in the dark...

I turned my flashlight on the bastard and damn was I surprised. He looked so real.

Yah, Doom 3's atmosphere and graphics are fantastic. The human models do look kinda of wierd but other than that, it looks fantastic.
The enemy design is the best in any game, bar none and the sound is fantastic also. But other than that the game is stale.

ANd it ispretty scary also, but not as scary as Alien Vs Predator 2.

Really??????? Is AVP2 scarier then Doom3???

Doom 3 is scary at the start of the game. But midway through, it gets boring because you've seen all it has to offer.
AVP2, while dated compared to Doom 3. Is scary while playing the human campaign. Nothing beats walking aronud in the alien hive, hearing your motion tracker, seeing and hearing the eggs come apart with face huggers, and seeing them come out of the eggs. And the oh crap stage when a facehugger jumps on your face.

I find it more scary than Doom 3. But Doom 3 is still pretty scary also;.

Ya the motion tracker ruins it all, you KNOW that there is something, in Doom you dont have a clue when its gonna hit you

I didnt say it ruined the game. In Doom 3, you know something is coming. In Alien Vs Predator, you know something is out there, but you dont know when it will hit. I think thats alot scary than not knowing. Horror movies use it all the time.

Ya you dont know when it will hit you when you have a motion tracker that tells you how close the enemy is???????????

But in the game, anything disrupts the motion tracker. So it can be anything. I find it panicky which I dont like, which makes it alot more scarier to me. Its not scary when you have no idea whats coming. You can startled when something jumps out but its not fear, its shock.

In AVP, the motion tracker is going off, you know something is in that room and you have to go through it. I find that scary as shit because your checking your back, moviing around, shining the light in tight spaces. Also, the motion stops working when no motion is happening.

Damn...i sold AVP2 and i didnt play as a marine......

Oh, you missed the best part of the game.

Human campaign rocks.

^ ya I agree on the part that human is the best way to play the game, Pred or alien is WAY to easy, not even the slitest scary you know what ever you are going to face is something you can kill in the blink of the eye
