Well I am probably wrong but I think it is ok if it is in agreement, well to some extend there should be some protection even if the child wants it. Like if they are under 12 or something. But I don'T know

Well he could get in trouble legally but he wouldn't be labeled a pedophile for two reasons I can think of.
First she was almost 18
and second and more important.
Pedophilia is a state of mind its not that just by likeing one young girl you are pedophile you must like young girls in general (and in my opinion they have to be really young 14 maybe)

It can't be drawn, that's why, as I said earlier, it's not really the most sensible thing to put an arbitrary legal marker on a mutable moral concept.

Not too sure I follow but if you mean how can I relate because I'm in love. Well, falling out of now anyway. However, I've been a single guy who looks at hot females on the street or wherever. So when that feeling is not there, I can notice that it's gone. If that's not what you meant feel free to let me know.

If a person is sexually attracted to children but would never actually do anything to them or harm them in any way, is he breaking the law?

As long as it remains fantasy, and only exists in their minds (without them doing anything about it), then they should be left to think what they want.
