I disagree 😬 IMO a well built man (just well built, not hulky) is just as attractive as a nice curvalicious woman. Take a look at male sculptures and you'll understand. There's a stereotype of women being the beautiful sex and men being the strong sex. While i agree that most men are indeed stronger than women, beauty is something that's in the eye of the beholder. Not something that society should tell you. I mean hell....i'd do Johnny Depp droolio
As to the initial question of why lesbians are more generally accepted than gays......I'd say it's mostly because of a lack of tolerance towards male homosexuality. Nothing to do with whether a gender generally looks better than the other, but more to do with lack of acceptance.

Yes, you are right, I wanted to post something along the same lines.
Not every society thinks the same way about this. For an obvious example look at the ancient Greeks...or Michelangelo's sculpture. Also, its not as socially acceptable for women to speak (in mixed company) about men's bodies. Men aren't objectified as often to be thought of just for their bodies. There are a lot of reasons. In a way its kind of acceptable for both men and women to sort of downplay men's bodies...but like silver tears said, the population keeps growing.
The fact that female sexuality is used to sell almost everything these days affects both men and women.
Personally, I cannot stand the recent fake pop version of lesbianism (e.g. Madonna & Britney Spears) where women kiss etc. just because it is "cool." It's irksome, just like other affectations. Anything where people try to hard to be cool or sexy kind of annoys me. Its a stereotype really, for guys to say "two women, hot!" It's like guys thinking a woman is attractive only because she has blonde hair or big breast. Sure some guys like those but these things alone do not sexiness make. Just seems like a pop phenomenon.

You would be right, I think its primarily younger man trying to be cool. At least in this country, when people get older or when they talk about it in a serious manner suddenly they don't care anymore. But when they are not really serious then gay man just suck.
But that could be just this country, nobody I know really hates homosexuals, some people joke about it but thats about it. Still its far more common when man do it then when woman do it.
