You just controdicted yourself, Blackcat. If Hell is not a place, how can Earth (a place) be Hell? Can it be an ideal of a evil or a feeling one gets of guilt? As if, if you do "that" you'll go to Hell? So is the idea of Hell a scare tactic?

Yes, hell is on earth - it's a metaphor to say that life is hell - suffering etc.

If life is hell, why do we suffer? What is the purpose of suffering?

Hell is in your mind, life is what you make of it.

Life is in the mind - the mind determines life in a subjective sense. And there is no purpose of suffering or purpose to life in any universal/absolute sense - God is not aware of the existence of his creatures.

Hell is living in either the past with all it's misery, or in the future by worrying about that which has not happened yet.
