Why you think it burns? Does Chaos burn? Does the Abyss burn? No it doesn't at all. The abyss is known as the sea and is also called Apsu, but the hell is just a manifestation, filled with creatures which I prefer to call art. The Daemon Sultan for example resides in the center of Chaos, which we all know, and I believe this entity now tranced at the moment so no harm can come from it. Anyway, my point is that the hell is more like a state and not an burning thing, but more about this can be found in Crowley's work...
