think it might be red vs blue

Actually, I have just figured it all out.

Anakin polishes off Mace because all along he was angry about only one thing. Mace's special purple sabre. He orginally wanted one, but Obi-Wan made him take the blue one. This explains "Obi-Wan is holding me back!" from Attack of the Clones. He really wants to kill Obi-Wan because he reveals his darkest secret: his dreams were not about Padme's death, but about Mace's. After Mace dies in Anakins dream, they find out Mace left the purple sabre to Obi-Wan in his will. When he shows up with the purple sabre, Obi Wan knows that Anakin is evil because he must have killed Mace! Obi-Wan tries to tell Anakin that his dream was wrong, the Sabre was to go to Mace's son, but Anakin will not listen!

Episode IV is remastered to reflect the fact that the lightsabre does make it to it's rightful owner. Luke's "A New Hope" blade will be made purple.

Anyway, Purple is kinda like Red and kinda like Blue, so what we get is Blue vs. Red and Blue.

I think ani will have 2 sabers (from his duel with dooku), and then one of them will maybe get lost, or maybe obi will cut off the arm of the one holding the red saber, so it will end up blue on blue

Its going to be blue vs blue not red vs blue because Anakin is still a Jedi when he fights Obi Wan and he dosnt geta red lightsaber until he is Darth Vader

Yeah I think you're right, but what I think happens is that Obi-One and Anakan go in a massive fight for over 10 minutes with both blue lightsabers, but at the end, Anakan gets his Sith red lightsaber and tries to attack Obi-One but fails and Obi-one throws him in the lava pit.

It's been confrimed a couple months ago that it will Blue VS Blue lightsabre duel.

it was also "confirmed" that luke had a blue lightsabre in ROTJ, there is no way to be 100% sure until the movie comes out

oh and btw I started this thread so I won't hate GL if ani gets out a red one 'cause that would be dumb, instead i'll be thinking "told you so" and if it is blue vs blue, witch I have said many times I prefer, I will be even happier

Since the new trailer has been leaked look at any version of it around the time 2 mintues and 8 seconds. From the pics of the great duel we can see both anakin and obiwan fighting over a catwalk. Look closely at anakins saber. In the first clear shots( not when their blades make contact we see a different hue of anakins saber. Its red or atleast the sample i took from it into photoshop. Could this be the infamous red vader saber that everyone denied he had?? Perhaps anakin doesnt lose his blue saber but during the duel it is forcefully taken from him by obi wan. In ANH Obi-wan says that "your father wanted you to have this..." but perhaps obiwan took it from him in a sort of "you dont deserve this weapon."( well obiwan does like to say things from a certain point of view). After it is taken anakin whips out a big red and proceeds fighting.

My justifications are..

1. Color sample shows red in photoshop
2. Anakin turns to the dark side way before the duel
3. Dookus saber is not being used
4. Dont all "cannon" sith use red?
5. Dont you think he would have a backup saber just in case??(there was a war on and it would suck if you lost your primary saber)
6. In early ROTJ luke did have a blue saber... but it was changed to green(doesnt really apply)

Again i am not trying to fuel the fire but could we all nicely consider that we maybe all wrong.

AND I WILL STATE AGAIN I AM NOT DISPUTING THE FACT THAT ANAKIN USES A BLUE LIGHTSABER IN THE DUEL.

i do think that MAYBE there will be parts where its blue on blue, but i definitley HOPE that there is red in part of it!!! na besides.. i still stay with what i originally said about how GL stated way early that sabers of the same color wouldnt be able to deflect eachother.. they would go right through eachother

i'm at work, and this is a crummy computer so I can't see the trailer very well, so I can't see what your talking about, but I agree, I would LOVE to see him pull out a red saber at some point. 👆
