Sabers cant abosorb the force, they are inanimate objects D:, the crystal that focuses the blade can, but that never came into contact witht he evil Anakin

well in empire strikes back a tree is filled with the darkside on dagobah

But the tree is living...its not an inanimate carbon rod...

I heard that spoiler too. I think Lucas migth be working really hard to suprise everyone with that one though.

In the new theatrical trailer,the duel footage is chock full of blue on blue,.......BUT, in one of the final shots with anakins back to the camera and they are kind of far away, as he is attackin obi it looks as if he has a red saber. This shot is one of the final shots of the trailer. Check it out and see what u think

P.S. I am not one of those people that thinks blue on blue sucks. I think it will look awesome and doesnt take away from the story, but it REALLy looks like red on blue to me as if Anakin switches during the duel or somethin

I was looking though the trailer frame by frame and it seems in this clip that anakin throws his blue sabre at obi wan (a'la ROTJ stylee?), so this could explain how the red sabre comes into play. Obviously I don't know if that's definite, but it kinda looks like that when you play it back so i thought i'd mention it ;]

yes, the trailer is all blue.
but that doesnt mean the duel is all blue.
even the ROTS anakin toy has a red saber

well looks like I should've read the MF.com report before posting. Still looks a bit like he lobs his sabre tho.

ani does eventually use his red sabre but it doesn't show that in the trailer

i dont think he does use his red saber, there isnt time for him to make a new saber, thats why he uses the blue on in the first place
