firstly i was replying to jackies comment about bush winning, it was no landslide by a long way, thats all i was saying...look at the graphs... they show that most of the central states (and a few coastal ones)... as in middle america... voted for bush... now consider the kind of people who live in those states (not all, but alot), they are what you'd call 'god fearing' and will blindly follow him because he's such a 'good christian', regardless of his foreign policy... because they simply don't care...

First off, just because you dont like Bush does NOT mean you are brainwashed. Quite the contrary, it means you took the time to educate YOURSELF rather than listen to sound bytes.
SO here we go with the other issues:
* The electoral process IS inherently flawed. If it is to be based on population, then shouldn't a plain old popular vote do the trick?
* If a crack whore wants to get off crack, why not help her out financially. I know the chances of an addict staying clean are small, but it will take eventually and even the cost of repetive rehab is WAY less than that of incarceration,
* Capital punishment....I think the work done by the innocence project ALONE shows that teh death penalty needs to be taken off teh books.
* CNN communist? That is hysterical! Even if it were true, which it isnt, it sure as hell beats a network devoted to NOTHING but hate and fear mongering (read FOX)
*Marijuana- who is it helping? Well, lets see....patients suffering from glaucoma, cancer, AIDS for starters. And later on it will help EVEN the republicans! Imagine not having to spend so much friggin $$$ to house those imprisoned for having a joint in their car when they were stopped, not to mention all the $$ generated by taxing the heck out of it. Seems to me this is a win win situation all the way around.
*Iraq - here's a thought, why dont we let the Iraqi PEOPLE decide what TYPE of government they want. I mean most of us believe that democracy is the best form of government, but if another country decides differently it is INCREDIBLY arrgoant to tell them they are wrong.

about letting the iraqi peopel decide what form of government they want.......hhhhmmmmm do you choose under a dictator??? it seems obvios to me that the iraqis said yes to democracy when they voted in a percentage twice as much as we did for poplulation. So they did decide and to democracy they said yes

How did Bush lie about Social Security? Here's how. He SAYS that it will be personal accounts that we can use how we see fit. SOunds Ok when he puts it like that huh? Dig a bit deeper my friend. What he wants is for us to set up these accounts then when we get to retirement age, turn it over to the feds to be dispursed... Which means its not really MY money now is it? Its money I work for & take care of all these years for the government to do what they want to with it anyway, that in addition to the fact that you STILL have to pay for a beauracracy to handle the money.
