Besides that, I think the guy is illiterate.

Dread was never stated to be overloaded anywhere in the comic guys, nor was he connected to Psi!

It's like he loves lying and making shit up.

The whole Superman wasn't powerless is cute though. Plus, it completely overrides the point of the force field, as well as him not actually knowing how his powers worked at the time, and he was just making guesses. 27 issues and a lot of mental help later however, he was able to stop it, as well as him actually knowing this time for sure.

But yeah, Superman wasn't powerless even though everything in the comic stated otherwise.

ugh. He clearly doesn't read the comics he champions. Please stop quoting him.

A word of advice Diesl, if you're going to take Abby's scans as proof, you'd better read the issues first. Or ask Bien.

Haha, Psi-phon was in pain and Dreadnaught was just fine, but they were obviously connected!! Oh branny. Superman was guessing that Psi-phon was feeding power into Dreadnaught and because he was overloaded, dreadnaught was too but Psi-phon negated that. That obviously proves he was overloaded!!!

Also when bran gets caught lying about superman being powerless, its time for excuses!!!

Lawl.

Also Diesl, never take any word branny says seriously.

A debate that's continued since the 1940's, distilled down to arguing a few pages of a 20+ year old comic, featuring a Superman and Shazam that don't exist anymore, complete with insults and name-calling.

I think Superman threads are more entertaining than Superman comics these days…

Bran is literally owning ABHI.

Sure carter, sure.

Need some feats from new Shazam

just read the last 3 pages here. now i have to go dig this pencil out of my eye. 😐

shut up and read this BORING SHAZAMASS PUNKS

supes takes him to sun and tear him apart in a blink

Superman would win.

It's funny as most of your posts are towards proving someone inaccurate instead of actual debating for the character you think will win.
I don't recall you championing a D.C. character over a Marvel character ever. Or even proving inaccuracies of those debating Marvel against a D.C. character.

It's clear you are bias and your agenda is against D.C. when it comes to Marvel.
We all know Abhi is but there are other Marvel fan members here who are just as worst or more worst. You may get on them when it's Marvel vs. Marvel but never when it's Marvel vs. D.C. I guess they are very accurate when a Marvel character is fighting a D.C. character. Your silence really speaks a lot at those times.

I just read the last pages of the thread and I'm confused as to how the debate shifted to some Dreadnaught character vs Superman.

So abhi:

If your argument is that Superman was at full power, and the force field had nothing to do with it, explain the fact he fought Dreadnaut as Clark Kent.

Lois didn't know he was Superman at the time, and neither did most of those heroes..

His reasoning was that Psi-phon wouldn't recognize him and siphon his power again. The force-field was to just rationalize how he beat dreadnaught as clark kent. It was just a force-field for durability, it didn't increase his strength. Or you can believe powerless clark kent beat dreadnaught with powers of superman, captain marvel, j'onn and the rest.

What about performing Superman feats in front of Lois and the rest, though? And them acting surprised, but not questioning it?

As you're aware, this is well before Lois learned Clark and Superman are one and the same, and I'm pretty sure only Batman knew his secret among the league..

Ugh, not the Dreadnaught nonsense again. It's pretty clear to anyone who reads the issues. Just post the numbers and let people reach the obvious conclusion.

Like I said, he attributed it to the force-field. That force-field was just strong enough to beat a prototype superman robot, not strong enough to knock out someone with powers of superman, martian manhunter and captain marvel.

Don't worry, I'm not trying to rekindle the debate. 🙂

DCnU versions it's a stalemate 5/10.

Which isn't saying much considering Billy is literally a 15 year-old brat who's a near functional retard with his superpowers. Apparently, the wisdom of Solomon only permits him to perceive magic in the same way Dr. Sivana does.

I disagree.

Billy is a full retard with said power.
