but it doesn't have what I want to major in. (Film Making)

Even if it did, i probably wouldn't be able to do it, bcuz I'm not rich, and not that smart, so a scholarship that i'll get wont pay for the equipment.

I'll probably end up having to change, because my mom also doesn't want me to go into film making. 😬

I'm screwed with each decision.

filmmaking is so damn expensive with regards to supplies alone, and given the extremely low success rate, its not something to major in unless you feel you'll just die if you dont

I'm also into Photography... Hmmm, wow i'll be a starving artist.

I'm into Web Design.... ummm... nope I'm not that great at it..

photography is not a field of starving artists. i wish i had taken more photography classes

My best friend's husband is a professional photographer. He makes a lot of money, and is high end, weddings, etc. He's very good at what he does, but the business is changing so rapidly he's working his a$$ off all the time. Keeps them on their toes.

Yeah but i dont like taking pictures of people. They're so boring when its like weddings and shit. It it was like for magazines, then I'd enjoy that part, bcuz you can screw withthe lighting and stuff.

I think you'd be great at it Jen, seen some of your pics already.

In the end, it's your life, your career, not your parents'. Please don't go to school for what THEY want you to do. You don't want to end up going back later to do what YOU want to do. Take it from a single mom who is trying to take care of a little girl, work full time, and finish her degree. This $hit's no fun when you're my age. Do it right the first time. 😉

Thats why i wont go to a art school. Bucz Art's the most expensive major there is.

what is that?

a government loan. usually just enough to cover tuition, so you'll still get ass rammed with the cost of supplies. but really, if you're calling is in the arts you shouldnt shy away because of money. im in debt to uncle sam, but it beats working my ass off for chump change. i only suggest scrutiny of the filmmaking option, since the success rate is so damn low and the supply cost is mindblowing and most if not all of what you'd be buying are consumable items. at least if you buy an expensive camera for a photography major...you still have a camera to show for it if all else fails.

yeah, im not that great of an artist anyways.

well, when you're an artist, if you say "i'm no good" and believe it, you are automatically correct 🙁
