If you ever buy him a camera make sure it has zoom capabilities. So mark off all Sony Cybershot still cameras as they don't let one zoom while filming. Hahaha.

they do, but if ur zoomed in just a a little bit, u cant zoom back out or anything.

i guess not if u filming like and outdoor thing and ur in the distances, but the zoom quality is annoying fuzzy. and it doesn't have automatic zoom focus.

My previous Sony Cybershot had okay video recording capabilities but sometimes the auto focus would go in and out, I suppose that is the price you pay for recording video with something designed to take stills, and from SONY, haha.
