Just got back from watching the midnight launch of Wolverine, and I have to say... I was not impressed.

CGI sucked, Wolverine's claws looked plastic, I mean hell, the claws that were around 10 years ago looked beter than these. Not to mention what they did to Deadpool. They bring in the "Merc with a mouth" and remove his mouth. Oh, and lets not talk about the fact that they gave him every muntant ability on the face of the earth (Save mental abilities). I may not be a Deadpool expert but I don't think he can Fire energy beams from his eyes, or teleport at will. And I'm pretty certain that he doesn't have Adimantiam swords that come out of his wrists.

Atleast they tried with Gambit though. They worked out the powers quite well, and looked really cool, and he tried the Cajun accent, but didn't quite get it. And I liked the new Sabertooth, but they could have done a hell of alot beter with Striker, the guy didn't even have a southern accent for God's sake. If you aren't going to stick to the comics, atleast stick to the previous movies. Amatures.

...so, is it worth watching? we're going to watch it later.

Heard good reviews from people who saw it illegaly before release. Now generally people seem disappointed about it.

I get passes since my mom is a manager at a nearby theater, so for me it was. It was entertaining, but I couldn't call it good (for reasons cited in the previous post). There was some pretty good action in it (wolverine cutting down a chopper, etc.), but the CGI was really bad (Like I said, Wolverine's claws look plastic

Oh, and the CGI Touch-ups they used for Patrick Stewart's face made him look incredibly fake. I even looked over at Nac and asked if it was a complete CGI Patric Stewart.

When it comes right down to it, I can't call it a bad movie, but I can't call it good either. It was acceptable at best... But I will say, It was better than X-men III.

Alright, then I suppose I'll check it out if they still decide to watch. thanks. ^^
