"ArrCee, I am your father!"

I wanted to name him Lucas, but the mom vetoed with ArrCee.

ArrCee is cool.

A weird name is Bonquawalaqweisha and Shenaynayquasilofanna. god help the ghetto world...

So is it going to be ArrCee-DeeCee or ArrCee-threepio?

ArrCee Lynn Holtz-Hall

Yeah I got that... hehehehe

Been hearing a rumor that a supposed "highly credible Lucasfilm employee" has claimed that with the success of Avatar...George is planning a new trilogy in 3D, within 24 months of the 6 films being re-released in 3D, that has nothing to do with the Skywalker clan.

Now of course, Lucasfilm is denying it...but what else would you expect? No company would confirm anything that has been leaked.
And this is very reminiscent of the 90's when Lucas fixed up the OT, in prep for the PT. Could releasing the old films in 3D be a prep for a new 3D trilogy? Not sure, but it seems very credible:

I'm sure everyone is going to freak out, and of course it's not 100 percent confirmed, but I'm all for the nostalgia of seeing a new Star Wars movie on the big screen.

No. It's not going to happen, even money hungry Lucas isn't that stupid. He's shit on the franchise enough.

When I first read that Im not gonna lie, the name R2D2 popped into my mind. 😂 Glad you guys decided to keep him and that you are going to be able to help raise him. Just keep looking for a job, the holidays are coming up and you should be able to get on somewhere at least as a temp which is better than nothing. When is the baby's due date?

all a baby needs is clothes.... and bubble wrap.

The date is being bounced around from March 8th - March 16th.

Why would it be stupid? I think it would be tons of fun actually. Lucas has always said he makes movies as a hobby. Star Wars is his brainchild, and sometimes you have fun with your creation even if everyone else doesn't like it. I totally respect filmmakers who make movies for themselves.

IESB has always been the most reliable source when it comes to SW info being leaked. They let loose the Clone Wars Series, Live Action Series, and ROTS PG-13 rating long before Lucasfilm ever announced it, so they have definitely backed up their source. This to me doesn't sound far fetched at all.

Oh well, guess time will tell. 😄

So Lucas is considering a new Star Wars trilogy? Or something else?

i know i probably misheard this, a friend of mine said Lucas is thinking about making the The Force Unleashed games(??) anyone heard about that?

Where there's money, there's a way.

From what IESB is reporting (and they've always been extremely reliable when it comes to SW news) is that with the recent success of the Clone Wars series, and the 3D Avatar, that Lucas is planning a new Star Wars trilogy in 3D. Supposedly a credible source from Lucasfilm gave them the inside scoop, saying the re-release of all six SW films in 3D will be a prep for the new trilogy, and that the money made from the re-releases of the PT and OT, will be used to fund the new trilogy. It was also reported that the new trilogy would take place in the future, and not have any correlation to the Skywalker clan.

Of course Lucasfilm denied it, but obviously, you wouldn't expect them to come out and say "yep, you got us."

Obviously it's a rumor, but IESB has always provided accurate details in the Star Wars realm, and they say "we stand by our source 100 percent."

No and not only no,
HELL NO .

Damnit why cant he just LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 10 years ago, the world adopted the concept that it's a truly horrific sin if George Lucas wants to make a new movie....especially ones that already belong to him.

Yet, if James Cameron want's to make an Avatar 2, it'll be the "greatest, most humble and sincere attempt ever" to make another billion dollars. Year after year they get away with making a new Harry Potter...even splitting the final movie into two parts just make more cash....but that's o.k also.

This may not even turn out being true, but the rumor is pretty darned credible.

Ok, the following is going to sound like a rant and me being an ass, but I promise I don't mean this to be mean spirited, just my humble opinion...

I enjoy making films and doing video projects of my own making, and if I want to make 6, 9, or 12 parts to whatever it is that is mine and I created, I see no reason for anyone else to tell me I need to do this and that with something that is already mine. Whether we like it or not, George knows that Star Wars belongs to him, and as a sincere filmmaker who enjoys it mainly as a hobby, if he wants to return to something that he loves dearly to himself, it's within his legal rights to do so without the rest of the world crapping their pants, calling him fat, lazy or greedy...especially greedy, since we all know making money is not exclusive to George Lucas....it is a human thing. Myself, as well as everyone else I know would jump at the chance to make a large profit if the opportunity presented itself. Yet if Lucas does this, he's a "darned nut that's gone completely insane and just needs more money" Sometimes I'm happy I'm not a public figure. You're damned no matter what you do. lol I know some could argue that Lucas already has enough money to begin with....but so doesn't any major business empire...and does having enough money prevent that business from wanting to make more? Nope.

I know you haven't said any of those things JP...just pointing them out to people who may potentially do so.

Yes, there may be new Star Wars movies coming. We don't have to like it, but at the end of the day, it's just a movie...made as a piece of entertainment that no one is forced into seeing if they don't want to. (People often forget that part when the complain about Lucas being so rich.) So let's take it as it is, a piece of entertainment and embrace the possibilites that it just might not be so bad after all 🙂 Then again, ya just never know. 😉
