apparently its a site that gathers all the info of yours would put on websites and allows people to look up your name, address, home phone, Google map you house, how much ur house is worth, who lives in it, what ur kids + spouse name is. and if you pay you can find photos of them and person records. i have no idea how im even on there, but i never put who my parent are, my address, or phone numbers. i dont even put my name in my town phone book. i feel so violated.
removing you name doesnt remove info, but it take ur name of the search.
Ah yes the Spokeo Facebook message has made its way to KMC. Spokeo is just like 411.com or switchboard.com or any of the other 50 bazillion directory listings out there. Unless a person is willing to pay a fee to access your information they arent going to see much about you. That being said I routinely go to these sites and remove my listings.
Having to pay for Spokeo is a new feature actually. Before that, you could just access the page and see everything about everyone...but trust me, it's far from accurate.
When I was taking Ethics in Media for film school, one of our classes was about this site, and about the only thing it gets right is your home address and phone number. I looked myself up once and it said that I enjoyed cooking....ah nope. lol
I'd have been blown away however, if my section of the site said "Noble advocate of the Prequel Trilogy." 😛

i'm looking for my disk it on right now. that kind of pisses me off, though it a silly wallpaper. the font i used for my name is tacky (no idea why i used it) bu tacky or not it doesnt make it right for taking photos cropping the name, and STILL not giving credit. i mean i think its great they thought it rocked, bcuz it was teh 1st wallpaper i ever made using photoshop when i was 16. that boots my self esteem on that, they got the wall from NataliePortman.com where my name is still attached on the site. they cant say they didnt know who made it. *******, ****ing, assholes.

Yeah, there's no doubt it's cool when you find that someone has liked your work enough to use it, though it's still their obligation to at least show your name attached to it. Cropping it out means they've intentially blocked your credit.
It's not costing them a dime to show your name, nor does that do them any harm, so they were definitely wrong to do that. I don't think there's anything wrong with showing your pic, so long as your name is displayed on the artwork.
LOL. its still odd they say that how they found the image, when all the other photo are cropped the same way... you know what ever i'm not goign to argue with them about that. they fixed it, they can say what they want on how they didn't know. i also dont care about money, i just don't like my photos of any type being messed with.
